£20 million? Are you including his wages? We paid £13,376,000 for Gaston + his £1 million signing on fee. Add his 4 year contract = £13,520,000. Thats £28 million + bonuses. Not sure how you got to £20m? Alex was sold for £12,144,000 btw Anyway back to Nicola...

It is much easier to run a club which has plenty of cash and no evident pressure to balance the books. Might be a different story if Nicola had to run a club like the Saints of old. he gets a lot of praise for getting good deals on transfers - however he overpaid for Gaston, Forren, Osvaldo and Mayuka and doesnt seem to be able to manage players that are deemed surplus to requirements - ala Sharp, Barnard, Martin and Forte. Our style of football is pretty dull of late, so that doesnt help either - what’s happened to the high press by the way? 8th place was the minimum expectation for mopo so I can understand why he has ditched the league cup (zero incentive for him) get the feeling that NC has asked for an FA cup run too, so hopefully mopo will deliver Id love a trip to Wembley and that would make up for what’s largely been a dull(ish) season so far.
