  1. After all those terrible games under the Dutch boyzz and their clown.....It is good to see Saints with a lot more fight and plenty of top leadership.......The class ain't bad either. COYRs Thanks Rupes for nothing....
  2. Totally agree .. Right in line....Barnard was away when Caulker took him out..
  3. Yeovil, like Exeter and many other little teams have a hard core of 5,000 of which many are actively involved closely with the club........3-5,000 directors working really hard for their team......Lots and lots of community spirit in and around the club...... PS Forgot to add...Pardew is a class act.......Don't let some of the idiots on here tell you otherwise.. COYRs
  4. Dave Merrington was a great Youth coach but not with senior players and his opinion like others called Dave is a little Rodneyish..Del boy at times.... .At last derry you give Pards summ credit...You remind me so much of Dave Merrington. Come on board and support the Saints FFS COYRs
  5. Agree with the above and more. Just arrived back after a really good day...eventually... Met Cliff Huxford before and after the game for a good old natter all things Saints....Like us all , he was so chuffed for Saints.. Sat with my daughter in block B of the community stand to the left of a group of about 6/7 male Saints supportersin mainly white shirts.....This group of big lads stood up and cheered for Saints goal....My daughter and I were not close enough to join in as we were surrounded by a group of Yeovil big boyzz......But the feeling was just great.. The Saints support behind the goal and in the far corner stand was great..But like most of us at times very subdued..particularly when Spiderman got his marching orders for a recless challenge... Yeovil should have scored with at least two opportunities in the first half in front of Saints support. Kelvin also made a wonder save to put one round for a corner.. Lallana was unlucky after a breakaway when not being able to get himself round the ball and his eventual effort over the goalie was cleared away.. Antonio was having no luck down the right and lacks a little control, experience, subtlety etc etc.....Much better as an impact sub. Ots was speedy in recovery but lacked a lot of good decision making and strength/determination at the right time. Harding worked very hard throughout as did Fonte and Seaborne.....Ref allowed a lot of niggly fouls/challenges on these two and others to go without a second glance. Midfield of Hammond and Spiderman were working hard but quite often got caught up /square and out of position...Not a good day for our engine room. Pucheon and Lallan worked very hard and were a constant threat..Both high class players who cause so much concern for the opposition......They need the striker..Barnard up alongside Lambert for the ball to feet and or the through ball. Lambert worked very hard and although constantly fouled by two one in front one behind....bump and push manouvre before he went for every ball...Ref looking the other way... Barnard and Papa.....AND Connolly.........Great move and with Barnards work rate and Connolly guile and experience...different ball game....Luvved it. Papa first touch behind the goal and ball landing in Weymouth.....Unpredictable....Yes..then World class touch....The crowd and the players not always sure what he will do. Pards......is the man...Wilko sent to the stand for berating the fourth official who funnily enough had had far worse fro Yeovil Manager and Coach throughout the game.. Yes whatever anyone thinks Pards IS THE MAN...well done old boy...:prayer: Must add....Credit to Yeovil who worked hard and fought for every ball..As stated..they had chances but Saints were still the far better side.. COYRs..
  6. Sorry bud...You missed my point......The youth policy failed big time..ie Rupes and the Dutch boyzz silly policy. Mighty Mac is about to fail big time if he does not change his ways some time very soon. He had a lot to offer Saints and always gave me the impression half hearted , lazy and better than anyone else....To me he turned out to be a let down... He should never have had a permanent place in the side when we had better strikers than him.... No doubt he had a measure of talent...but wasted it and does not appear too worried about recovering the spark.. Weight is definite a concern as he will lose what little pace he had. Anyway..Forest problem ..not ours anymore..
  7. Hope none of these shiiiisters were on expenses......
  8. I always thought Ali Dia was never really given a chance...
  9. As a youngster in youth and reserves..I really thought he was going to be a good player....He was coached and placed regularly in the first team by the Dutch boyzz who were hell bent on playing all the youth on strict orders.....Obviously failed big time. But mighty Mac believed and still believes he is far better than he is......stopped learning, listening and progressing.......He is putting on or appears to be carrying excess weight...Next season will be his crossroads or he will be playing for Kettering or Hinckley pretty soon.
  10. Very well summed up.....Very accurate and for me describes a very good player and only good for Saints future...
  11. Is it possible this photo was taken a couple of hours before the game.... The players are only warming up and the other 2/3 thousand Pompey fans are still travelling or are still in the pubs....
  12. To be fair ..they could put the 15 down and pay the other 10 mil on tick..... Celtic are not a big club anymore ..as the league shows...Rangers are in a different league......The mighty Saints leave them both standing....Part timers up there in Scotland:) COYRs
  13. If Pards was to go to Scotland...If... He would surely wait for a very big club like Glasgow Rangers.....
  14. The prat in the dressing room with his initials on his tracksuit..or was he a real player.. Sorry..now been told Rupes only played in a testimonial game at The Dell.....
  15. He was a lost soul in Plymouth and very homesick.....He just did not settle in Guz...
  16. Still waiting for my adoption papers to be sorted......Let you all know when I have moved to Switzerland....
  17. Duncan Bannatyne was a stroppy little sailor in the RN and certainly couldn't and wouldn't take orders......Ended up striking/pushing an Officer overboard.. Served time in Colchester glasshouse... Last I heard he was messing about with ice cream vans, old peeps homes and fitness centres.... Then he started poncing around with other dragons in the Den.....Not two pennies to rub together.. IF only he had some sort of discipline...could have gone a long way.....
  18. Did the tour of Nou Camp with the family on holiday..... Souvenir :DPicture of Messi, Ronaldinho and ottery pitchside......Two of those mentioned are cardboard cut outs.
  19. To me you will always be Roly Mills or Melanie:prayer:
  20. Still think the pre season tour will be local to Romsey for those faithful supporters.....North Baddesley, Wellow and Braishfield... COYRs
  21. Still think Lambert to Celtic.....Not our Rickeee but the Norwich boss...But you knew that...
  22. I am a Saints addict..Glad to get that out in the open at last.......After many years, I know there is no cure. COYRs
  23. Proud to be a Saint......We are potentially world champs.. COYRs Well done to all concerned....
  24. What is going on......I thought he was jonah, once bitterne and Rupert Lowe.
  25. Still can't find the link where Pards and NC were connected to Inter Milan .. when Mooorinyourface leaves...Allegedly I might add. Pards is tooo good for Celtic or Inter.......He would only leave for Barca..So I am led to believe..
