For me...Victor when fit everytime. Previously Morgan instead of Corky. Davis every time in his role. So that leaves me as a selector:rolleyes: Corky or Morgan to play with Victor and Steve Davis. Same side to start against Swansea and Morgan..IF fit on the bench. Yes...I sit on the fence...as Wanyama , Morgan .Corky and Davis are great players. Lately Morgan has dropped off from his high class performances.......so his injury rest/recovery is probably much needed. Final answer one game at a time......Same team to start v Swansea... Nice dilema for Poch:D I could even see games or part of games where all four start...MAYBE:) Then again are all four available next season?......I hope so;) I will stick with my opinion....when fit....Wanyama in my selection every time:)

I will leave that to Poch:) I will hand him the team sheet with Victors name on and leave the rest to him.

Remember Tony.......that idiot ottery has not got a clue about footer. For what it is worth......I think you make sense......sometimes:p Well done fella:D -
I was at the game and can tell you Windows that Everton did not really get a look in. How we were set up. How we played. Great team effort as usual by the mighty Saints. Credit where it is due. We did not let Everton play. At times Everton were chasing shadows. We were far superior all over the park.

Ref had an agreement before the game NO penalties.

You could be right....Roy may even use Jones of Man Utd to cover RB behind Johnson... But for me CLyne....but as you say...not been in the squads..........but?
-
From my point of view.... Because I got so many yellow and red cards for calling peeps idiots, ******s , WUM or using different IDs etc...even PUP James Hunts... Rather debate ...easier to ignore...but sometimes I can't resist when I realise who/what/where and have to put... :mcinnes::mcinnes: In your case...just ignore me:p COZ I know who you are and I will continue to ignore you or :mcinnes: Hope that helps Tony? You can see I don@t bother to debate much...

From where I sat..Luke Shaw had a very good defensive game. Made 3/4 saving tackles...covered well and did hid job as a very good defender in a good back four. Shaw even improves his forward play each match. Not just because he is 18 but also a top class footballer who can defend , tackle and has good distribution... Exactly why top sides are after him....For me ..he was even better than Baines today. But today Clyne was the best full back on display from both sides.

I would have Victor Wanyama in my side every time.. Now getting match fit.. The opposition find him a very difficult player to play against. Next season...with pre season etc....will be a star. I have been impressed with him...after coming back from injury a match or so too soon...has now settled in and forms that solid barrier in front of the back four. Well done Saints and well done Victor.

Obligatory Congratulations Matt Targett Thread!
ottery st mary replied to robdevil7's topic in The Saints
Good to see Isgrove now playing his second game for Peterborough. AND scoring today in a very important game to help Posh secure their play off spot. Still on loan and definitely not finished with Saints in my opinion. Well done Matt Targett -
Clyne was outstanding. My MOM.. Roy Hogdson must have been impressed.. Looking to cover Walker who is injured..not playing and a serious doubt. Clyne is now more than a possible shout to join Lallana , Lambert and Shaw... Maybe too late for Jack Cork.....maybe? But Clyne would be in my selection...good player who can play either full back and great speed to attack to defend and brilliant recovery.

Post-Match Reaction: SAINTS 2-0 Everton
ottery st mary replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Clyne was MOM.....Also selected as Barclays MOM Closely followed by Cork , Davis and superman Victor Wanyama. Whatever is said about all our great players......Wanyama is a star.....wait til he gets super fit again. Shaw , Lambert , Lallana AND Clyne to the world cup......Clyne can play both sides....super fast forwards and defending.. Walker is injured and Clyne is now in with a big shout. MAYBE even Jack Cork. Saints...well done. Poch you are one hell of a coach.....TOTALLY outsmarted Everton/Martinez. COYS:) -
Once again..Steve Davis put in a shift and a half. Together with Jack Cork and Victor Wanyama.......awesome trio that took hold of the game and gave little chance to Everton. Soooo glad Wanyama is back. My MOM went to Nat Clyne. But the whole of Saints side ...Well done...excellent performance.:)

Are you saying I make stuff up? How dare you:p Very reliable sawce is my missus. Put this way:? She knows more about footer than certain posters on this forum:lol: Although the off side rule about coming back on and being in play but not always off side...has baffled her:blush: Glasgow Saint......STOP USING MY CRAYONS:p

The finer details being sorted as we speak. Poch is already looking at players for next season. 3/4 year contract....hopefully...onwards and upwards:) Bit much that he wants 3/4 of saintsweb tiresome posters ...banned before he signs the contract;) Mind you... said posters have never supported the mighty Saints or even been to St Marys... Sooooo he must mean... banned from our forum. COYS:)
