Good old David Peach..full of heart..When he did his London Marathon for charity in the late 80s about 88/89, stayed with my family in North London. My son and I, got him to start at Greenwich on Blackheath and ran down to Cutty Sark in order to cheer him on.We then ran through to Isle Dogs in the foot tunnel and cheered him on coming on the Island and running off to go to Catherine Dock to Tower of London..At this stage he had done about 20 miles and looked all in..We were able to remind him of all his charity sponsors and that all Saints fans thought he was a legend...Good old Peachey not only kept going but made it to the finish. We had caught him up by getting tube from tower hill to Westminster.We had the easy job but on that day he showed what a true Saint and lots and lots of guts...I kept telling everyone he was a Saint, a legend,cup final and all that...A great player for Saints...Yes I know many others have achieved this but this was Peachey..great man..great memories. I'm not sure he did another one after that.

You have picked up on some of the problems..Surely the coach JP will soon. May I respectfully request that you get down to Staplewood and have a word in his ear..A little help may go a long way..Please, before it is too late.

Apart from Gabriel/McGrath, Dennis Hollywood probably one of the hardest on the field but a nice guy away from football...we could do with some of these players now to stiffen up the back line.

What a load of Tosh...Pearson is and always will be streets ahead of anything we have to-day.....It has been a terrible example of a personal game for Lowey and how he plays with his little toy. He is not a good business man and that is proved ever day he points the ship towards the rocks. Good news arriving just goes to show that we can all see hope for the coming years. Very pleased to hear about Chris and Ron and their improved situation...Look forward to hearing the result of the second op..Hope all goes well for them both in the future... I have a very good mate who is a Norwich fan and he was also delighted to hear the good news. It would appear that Ron is required to play for The Canaries as well as the Saints when he is fully fit. To be fair the powers to be and 4/5 posters on here thought it right he get at least 3 years to bring about total football.......Give him and Lowey Time.......No chance.. Lowey to have full and total control of all team matters....He is being restricted by these wanabees Wotte and JP....Give the young Lowey some room....He is a real future continental coach.......Preferably in Bulgaria or Albania, starting Monday morning....

Correct me if I am wrong but a few Managers have said similar nice things about the Saints side......The nice side that we are at times needs to start winning, as all the nice things said will not count and we will be in the lower leagues playing some of those really not so nice teams......We have to get better at winning and that is where we seem to be going in the wrong direction.

Good old Fred...His wife was a reasonable ref as well.....Plus the son....A family of officials....I think they all refereed me at times around Southampton parks.......By the sound of it all three better than to-days ref.

I think we might have to adopt some other strategy...like coaching the team to win some games...Tactics/team selection/formations......Even if the ref was rubbish to-0day...which by all accounts, he was.. We can not keep saying this all season...Back to a football team and win some games..regardless of the rub of the green.....But I have to admit I have had a real go at some refs over the years....So I know how some of you must have felt to-0day.

I think Lowey pays out for both sides in order that he can stay in the limelight at all costs........He is the real Luvvie.......The old ham.

I really have to say some of the supporters that come on this forum and give us match reports/there own personal take on aspects of the whole package a big thank you....Others appear to come on here to attack other posters and do not really contribute zilch.....we are all supporters of the team...and whatever some of you so full of yourselves think..deep down even Alpine and others like me really want us to win.... At least be constructive about events and ignore me.....Oh! You already have... But once again thank you for many others with their thoughts on matches.... Let us hope our luck and some better refs appear over the horizon soooon. Up the Saints.. Ps It is just my opinion about some of you being right up yourself.....Even I am sometimes.
