  2. Just seen Stephens back in light training and videos of him kicking the ball. We’ve not even seen anything like this with Ross yet. Is that a sign that he’s not actually close to being available?

Welcome back Captain 🫡 Might be hard for him to get back in at the moment but it’s positive competition for places and hopefully keeps Holgate out the side. 4. We have a corner, ohhh Gavin Bazunu ringing round the ground. Love it.
  5. Should have had a free kick on KWP but poor mistake from the restart. Why is it never straight forward?!
  6. That was a pen to Brum, got away with one
  7. 2-0 Charly!
  8. We concede so many crossing opportunities into our box through corners and fouls.
  9. Offside but not VAR, lovely.
  10. THB! What a start.
  11. Red socks look a bit Pompey too 🤢
  12. Didn’t see Che Adams in the latest gallery, so not expecting him to be fit. Having just listened to the press conference part 2, I’m not sure why nobody asked about his fitness. He’s not been in good form since the window shut but usually scores against previous employers/boyhood club. Win today and that point against Preston looks much better. 2-1 Saints is my prediction.
  13. Didn’t hear him mentioned in part one of the hull press conference this morning, is he even close to fitness yet?
  14. So much pressure on this guy to get fit, stay fit and deliver. His record last season pre injury was fantastic but it is a small sample size and a bad injury to come back from. Che staying seemed to give us enough but he’s just run out of his August Space Jam again.
  15. One of the worst performances they have ever seen?! We’ve lost 9-0 twice in recent times. Other than not being clinical, we gave a dominant performance. I’m assuming they didn’t watch the Gillingham, Sunderland, Leicester, Ipswich or Boro games this season? You don’t have to look back far to find a worse performance! We only created more expected goals in 2 fixtures this season so far - Norwich and Plymouth. We can agree that we are underperforming against expectation. We should be challenging for top 2 with our squad and resources. The run of 4 defeats was shocking. Today’s performance was good enough but the result was not.
  16. Just watched Flynn Downes post match interview on the OS. I have to agree with him that booing after such a dominant performance was weird from our fans. Good to hear he’s feeling fitter and putting the weight back on. He has been notably much better in the last couple of games. i never boo Saints, but can understand why fans might want to voice their frustration when we lost 5-0 at Sunderland for example. Booing today has no justification. How can we expect players to want to make their loans permanent here if this is how we treat them?
  17. Propaganda football is possession football for possession’s sake? But we actually created a lot of good chances today, just weren’t clinical enough to protect ourselves against Rotherham scoring their only half chance. It’s a poor result for sure, but our performance was pretty dominant. I don’t think we will dominate like that too often. I understand the frustration after dominating a game so much and not winning. So annoying and we have to stew on it for 2 weeks. I can’t believe we didn’t win today.
  18. His cameo vs QPR made me question my initial negativity on this loan signing, but other than work hard and make a few sliding tackles, he has contributed nothing so far.
  19. Is rancid dogshit football creating at least 4 big chances and dominating the majority of a match? We saw much worse footy for the majority of the last 2 years. We are underachieving overall and those 4 straight suicidal footy results were a world away from today’s performance IMO. To be out of the automatics race so early in the season is not acceptable but I can’t agree that what I watched today was a poor performance. We won’t dominate teams like that too often, very unfortunate to not comfortably win this game. I remain unconvinced Martin is the right guy to get us promoted but today was on the finishing of our players.
  20. Fully agree with this assessment and to already be out of the running for automatic places with this squad and our resources is unacceptable. For that reason I can understand why Martin is being questioned. I just feel that today’s result wasn’t on him at all. I’d say 9 times out of 10 we win this game by multiple goals. To only score once today was ridiculous.
  21. Even though the second half was much less productive, Smallbone still missed a huge chance and we also had one cleared of the line. Meanwhile they scored their only shot on target. It was an excellent finish tbf, out of nowhere and totally against the run of play. Regarding the subs, it’s third game in a week and Martin would have been hoping Fraser, Edozie and Alcaraz could give fresh impetus. Sadly none of them did and Edozie in particular was very poor. Solely responsible for wasting away most of the added time. I don’t think this is why we don’t win though, it’s the big chances missed.
  22. I don’t understand the lazy blaming of Martin-Ball. Did you actually watch this game? We absolutely battered them and should have scored at least 4 playing this style. Rotherham had 0.07xG, it was daylight robbery. We’ve all been frustrated at times this season but Martin didn’t cause our players to miss big chances today. He set us up to win the game comfortably and we only have our finishing/their keeper to blame. One poster even compared it to Forest last season where we didn’t even have a shot on target. Quite ridiculous.
  23. Martin’s set up really isn’t the issue here. We should have scored 4 goals today at least. Shocking finishing or great goalkeeping is the difference, they are your options.
  24. The game really should be over. Good saves from their keeper but we have not been clinical enough.
  25. It was so short! Hopefully part two gives us something interesting to hear…
