It’s remarkable to think we have 6 centre-backs and all 6 could realistically depart.

Absolutely well said. A brilliant thread. Believe Woods, Chavez-Munoz & Rylee Wright are leaving (but not confirmed). They never update non-pro's which is annoying so it's hard to know for sure until you get to see those 25-man squad lists.

A few months ago I would have hated this move -- Now it kind of makes sense. West Ham will likely nudge the price up nearer to what we want too with the Rice slice of cash in their pockets. JWP gets his european wish & perhaps an Ings reunion.

I would still be very surprised if he's here come the start of the season. (I would be very happy if I'm wrong on that). I would imagine a newly promoted side to the Prem can afford a £15m+ attacker if he's top of their list & if they really want him.

The fact we all want Charly to stay is because he’s bloody good — every club know that — would be a miracle if he stayed, IMO.
