Sky reporting European interest in Jayden Meghoma. Ajax, Anderlecht, Basel and Red Bull Salzburg are monitoring Southampton’s teenage defender Jayden Meghoma. Meghoma joined Southampton two years ago from Tottenham and made four senior appearances, all in the cup competitions. But extended first-team opportunities have yet to materialise for the England youth international, alerting his overseas admirers. Meghoma, 18, has one year left on the professional contract he signed last summer and will be able to sign a pre-contract agreement with a foreign club in January. In that case, Southampton would only be due a small compensation figure because of Meghoma’s age.
