I think you're right. Squad is still heavy. Forster not involved. Carrillo / Boufal / Clasie / Reed / Davis / Hoedt all out on loan. Big, big, big money being paid for people who (mostlyl) aren't in the managers plans.

He's been fairly consistent on us wanting a centre-back. So wonder if it's an update on that.

I know what you mean, Re: Villa. I read the other day Dean Smith saying they want players with potential too. Wolves are a funny proposition. I thought with the Jorge Mendes link they would go way bigger profile than Tammy Abraham. Austin just seems like a short term fix. At least we know Wolves could take on his wages.

Indeed! I think the problem we've had is I'm not sure I'd trust us to get a really good expensive player in. I'm hoping Ralph will change that.

Yeah. There's far too much detail in there for it not to be true. Priced low is smart, especially if they will take on ALL of his wages.
