That's my point I haven't seen anything concrete that we are looking to replace him. We have a few nudge nudge wink wink ITK stuff on here saying we'd be interested in Emery or Tuchel which is hardly rocket science. The paper talk all seems to be lacking any substance and more rumour mill type articles. Take the Tuchel story for example. One jurno in France makes a pretty throw away statement and suddenly it's happening. Can't help feeling the club could have ditched Puel very quickly with minimal fuss if they had made their mind up to do so like Watford and Dortmund did. The fact we didn't ditch Puel as soon as the season ended makes me think it's far from as certain as people think it is.

According to uncle Les we are always looking at managers and constantly updating our list. Nothing concrete is coming out of the club one way or another. The various rumours link us with new managers don't seem to have much substance. Not saying we won't have a new manager come next season but I can't see how anyone can read anything into the situation based on the current rumours.

Liverpool players should be paying Liverpool just for the chance to bask in Klopp's clown like gurning every match day.

Looks like some games being played out in the press. Claims that Liverpool's chances have taken a blow after deciding to offer VVD only a 130k a week instead of the 180k a week his representives claim Liverpool first offered.... http://www.bing.com/news/apiclick.aspx?ref=BDIGeneric&aid=C98EA5B0842DBB9405BBF071E1DA7651077B1B5B&tid=7AFC0AA3B5514525A80F33F97B57C132&url=http%3a%2f%2freadliverpoolfc.com%2f2017%2f06%2f01%2fliverpools-change-wage-offer-threatens-van-dijk-deal%2f&c=6752622337889820330&mkt=en-gb

Replacements are the key. Players leave fine it's what happens...as long as the club is re-investing in good replacements I can live with it. Sadly they didn't do that last summer and we suffered for it. Les needs to get it spot on this season or we going to end up with a pretty mediocre team.

The strangest thing about Long is that he has been a professional footballer as long as he has when his first touch couldn't trap a bag of wet cement and he has all the composure, in front of goal, of a teenage boy about to get his first blowjob....

Everton after Forster? http://www.bing.com/news/apiclick.aspx?ref=BDIGeneric&aid=C98EA5B0842DBB9405BBF071E1DA7651077B1B5B&tid=E7DA55B5D0714150B129BB2E7BAE6239&url=http%3a%2f%2fwww.hitc.com%2fen-gb%2f2017%2f05%2f31%2feverton-made-clear-favourites-to-sign-southampton-keeper-followi%2f&c=14068282368437480134&mkt=en-gb

'Everton made Lukaku promise' Romelu Lukaku's agent Mino Raiola says Everton have promised the striker he can leave this summer if "certain clubs" made the Toffees a suitable offer. http://www.msn.com/en-gb/sport/premier-league/everton-made-lukaku-promise/ar-BBBJcjy?li=AA572I&ocid=spartandhp

You're assuming they are talking about brains..... I hear Cedric likes to walk around the changing rooms naked showing his thick one...
-
Hopeful this will herald a return to footballers having 80s style haircuts to Reckon Romeu would look boss with one of these
-
where are your stats for that then...
-
I bloody hope we are buying a striker. Long and Jrod are ****. Austin might be ok if we are going to replace Puel with some one like Big Sam. Basically Gabbi is the only one we need to keep and we need to add to our striking options.
-
And yet we had the 8th most shots on target in the league we should have scored more from the chance we did create. If we had bought a quality striker last summer instead of January we probably would have. Every one knew we need a good quality striker last summer yet we gambled on Long and Jrod and got what we deserved.
-
yes it is something some of us have been pointing out as a pretty obvious reason we haven't done as well this season but a lot of people aren't interested its all about Puel coaching the players to be **** at shooting.

well he is smiling after just losing to Liverpool in this one [video=youtube;N6R9-4XENd8]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6R9-4XENd8

It is about time we just tell Liverpool (and spurs TBF) to do one its getting beyond a joke. VVD is good enough to play for a much better team than Liverpool fair enough I except he will he leave at some point but at least he should leave for a truly good team. If he does go to Liverpool their first team will contain 5 ex saints players. Les should stipulate, in the VVD deal that, any trophy they win has "Courtesy of Southampton" engraved on it.

apparently not This weekend, Sahin was once again at the heart of a dispute, after Tuchel left him out of the squad for the final. The decision was openly criticised by other players after the game, even as Dortmund celebrated their first title in five years. 'When Julian Weigl is injured, Nuri is the only one who can really replace him properly in defensive midfield,' said captain Marcel Schmelzer. 'It really shocked me, I didn't understand it at all. The coach would have to explain why he did it. We all completely stand behind Nuri.' With such open criticism from his own captain just hours after the cup triumph, Tuchel must have already begun to pack his bags. his own captain come out and critisiced his team selection after they had just won the cup final. That's a whole new level over Puel's lost dressing room...
-
If Puel stays then ideally he gets backed but that doesn't mean he will I think we all know Les calls the shots on player recruitment.

Dortmund board have realesed a letter giving their side. "It is not the result alone that matters," chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke wrote in an open letter to fans. "What also matters are fundamental values such as trust and respect." http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/40099013

In fairness to Tuchel he had to follow on from the Klopp Clown so almost anyone is going to seem boring after that. If he was following on from Puel it should be much easier for him to seem interesting...
-
Doubt it. I don't think the manager is that crucial to saints transfer business these days
