Among all the press reports yesterday I saw mention that both Arsenal and Man u had been scouting Mane when he was at his previous club but neither decided to bid for him so he came to us. 12months down the line Man U want to by him off us for what will be, no doubt, far more money than if the had just taken a punt 12 months ago.

Wanyama Transfer Rumours - Summer 2015 Edition

I honestly don't think we will sell anyone now 1) it's to close to the end of the window to start sorting out replacements we have enough new players to bed in as it is 2) Koeman is already making noises about the difficulties at the back being down to losing so many players from the defensive unit (not all sold granted) 3) we need to keep some players to sell next summer 4) We will want serious money so spurs are out and man u would have to pay more than they were willing to pay for Pedro Now having said all that I fully expect Mane, Pelle and Victor out of tonight's game while they have medicals -
Do you know what, I think, a lot of people aren't over last summer they got all worked up about stuff and then the club had the bollix to go and have an even better season than ever before. So they were forced to bite their tongues until some **** stuff happened and now they are all moaning and groaning and dragging up last summer because they've been stewing on it for so long. Basically if they keep shouting doom and gloom for long enough they'll end getting it right.

Ah now we're talking Maiden are one of my favourite all time bands.
-
Ha right on cue .....never gets old
-
Yes never believed it myself but even when Jrod was crocked he was constantly linked with moves away in the press. It would be interesting to know what sort of hit rate the press has with transfer news.
-
IIRC according to the press Man city and Spurs were both going to bid.
-
From SSN 'MANE NOT FOR SALE' More developments on Manchester United's interest in Sadio Mane and a Southampton official has told us the forward is not for sale. The official told Sky Sports News HQ: “He is a key part of our team and our planning for the future. He wouldn't be sold.”
-
isn't that just the by product of a good tug......
-
I thought we paid 11 million for him wouldn't 15million make him our biggest ever transfer?
-
I know that's why I picked It. Classic movie still good even now:)
-
You'd think our owners would have some sort of Alpine retreat where they could lock the squad away for the summer with no contact with the outside world
-
Who bid for Barkley I missed that one? Baines was Moyes wasn't it they did sell fellani to Man U at the same time though.
-
How many concrete bids for players have Everton had in the last 12 months Stones I know and who else?
-
Serious question has anyone ever actually bid for Barkley? Berahino will go if the money is right but spurs went in on the low side (as they always do). Stones might stay though the press are hinting Everton are about to fold for £40 million.
-
Oh they've been running that one to mentioned it on Talk sport. I think it's pretty clear the Man U press boys have been trying to deflect the Pedro cock up.
-
Lets hope it doesn't go strike Kenwyne Jones style then:p
-
More than likely seeing that the Mane story broke in the press a couple of hours after Man Us Pedro debacle hit the news

Yes because the club rarely says a player is never for sale only that we are not really interested in selling. If fans choose to interpret that as we will never sell this player that's their look out.
-
Did you not use to enjoy last day relegation battles?
-
Yeah Man U made a bid last week, Saints ignored it, Man U ****ed up the Pedro deal and then leaked the Mane bid to the press to deflect away from the Pedro **** up. If Man U wouldn't stump up the 22 million cash for Pedro would they really stump up the 25 million we would be looking for Mane?
-
Austin is still very much available for 15 million I could see the club flogging Mane for 25 million and buying Austin for 15 million a being happy about it. On the other hand the Pedro deal fell through because Man U wouldn't meet the 22 million pound release clause so I can't see them splashing 25 million on Mane.

According to talk sport Man U tabled a bid last week and haven't had a response from Saints.
