  1. This^^ Really couldn't give a flying **** about international football these days. England are boring and turgid to watch and constantly try to pass off the likes of Rooney and Wilshire as world class when in truth the only world class players in the English PL are foreigners.
  2. Getting forward he is very good. With Mane today they were tearing Norwich apart down the right with their movement. His crossing is pretty good to. Defensively he is not in Clyne's class so needs a bit of protection from his team mates IMO.
  3. As Charlie pointed Austin isn't the same sort of player as Pelle if we signed Austin he'd be used on one side of a front three along with J-rod, Long, Mane and Juanmi.
  4. J-rod may well be better if he gets back to his old form but only an idiot would want to relay on Jrod as our main striker in his current form Pelle is very important to us right now. Also Pelle is much better than average who the hell do you think a club like us can sign as a centre forward?
  5. He walked off to a standing ovation with the stadium singing his name seemed very happy. I've no doubt he will be off next summer but for this season he will be our player and a big one for us at that. World of difference in his attitude compared to Victor.
  6. Tbf we've looked quite pedestrian and the players a little disinterested in the last few games Victor as much as the others. Chucking Reed in might actually put a bit of energy into midfield as he looks to impress and could be a bit of a blessing in disguise.
  7. Alpine Isn't a true pessimist as he gets upset when things don't match his expectations. Alpine is more of a really bad optimist...
  8. The only reason this is cuasing a stir is the timing if he was ill in October no one would be bating an eyelid.
  9. Jrod down the middle, Juanmi and Mane ( or Long) either side and Davis in the number 10 balls through the channels or over the top try and hit them with pace.
  10. LOl well I guess west brom have no choice but to let him leave now. TBH I don't think West brom are adverse to letting Berahino go just not for the money spurs were offering.
  11. Really? guess that explains why I'm not as upset as some on here I certainly wasn't expect £45 million of players on top of the players we'd already signed.
  12. Yes but we don't want to sell, spurs seem desperate and it's the end of the transfer window (making it unlikely we'd get a suitable replacement in the short time left) all this would mean the club would only sell in the event of a stupid offer which 16 million certainaly isn't. At this time in the window Victors ability as a footballer is less important than surrounding circumstances.
  13. We would want a lot more than 16 million IMO.
  14. Of course they do. You have to have something to aim for or else what's the point? It.s just most will probably realise that the journey is more fun than the destination. As for the quality I can't say I ever enjoyed league 1 or the championship less because I wasn't watching world class players and TBF when some top class player like Aguero is scoring against Saints I don't stand there thinking "Wow that was great, top quality football, so glad I'm watching a world class player taking my team to school"
  15. Easy for an Everton fan to say but my team is Southampton.
  16. No chance go back to terraces standing only at games.
  17. Still don't think he will be sold...but I wouldn't be surprised if, like Morgan last season, he sits a game, or two, out while he gets his head straight.
  18. I still think the Championship is far more competitive and interesting as leagues go.
  19. According to sky PR anyway.
  20. You're alright not keen on putting pigs penis, ears and eye lids in my mouth....
  21. A new league solves nothing. What we need is a level playing field so that every club from top to bottom has the same transfer budget and wage structure (on the low side Ie no more than a grand a week in pay for any player worldwide). Owners would love it as they could pocket most of the TV cash. Players and agents would go into melt down and clubs could pass on the benefits to supporters with five quid match day tickets.
  22. Michail Antonio: West Ham bid for winger set to be rejected. The Premier League club offered about £4m for Antonio, 25, plus winger Matt Jarvis on a season-long loan. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34066785
  23. Well it's not really a problem. Having read through the forum the last few weeks it's clear that all our players are, frankly, pants..............or so I'm told
  24. Pretty sure people used to say the same thing about Lee Holmes in league 1
  25. So just to clarify after one season Tadic, despite a groin injury, has managed almost as many minutes on the pitch as Gaston managed in three seasons for saints.....
