  1. ......or we have good players bigger teams want I can't recall us being forced to sell to anyone outside the top six. We quite easily told spurs to **** of when them came in for Morgan. Also to be fair the amount of money we rinse out of the big boys doesn't really equate with being a soft touch.
  2. Well this season anyway...
  3. from the BBC live feed Jade Babb: #mufc #ridiculous won't pay £30mil for Pedro, here comes 4th place again. Only football fans can casually moan about not spending 30 million, like it's mere chicken feed, of some one else's money on a player.
  4. Well at least I'll I have good choice of seats. I was happy to go when we were in league one on -10 and would still go, when I could, if the club were playing Ryman League don't understand people who only want to support in the good times . Having said there are a lot of games to go to this season home and away and while I admire anyone who has the time (and cash) to do them all I'm not one of them. Home games on my ST and European home games are my priority this season so I will be there tomorrow night.
  5. Nah the Bench is pretty Meh squad depth is a bit **** first 11 is pretty good though.
  6. A bit light weight in midfield. I don't think the oxo is much of a DM more likely drop Puncheon to the bench move the oxo up to left and play Cork with Morgan.
  7. Yeah it will be all good news until his first miss placed pass two minutes into his debut when the forum will conclude he's not good enough and start banging on about the toby shaped hole in our defence?
  8. In fairness they've had a concrete bid for one player if they keep that one player it's not much different to us making Morgan stay another season. Lots of their players are rumoured to interest big clubs but no bids ever seem to materialise. Now if Everton were fending off bids for multiple players, near the end of their contracts, and keeping hold of them I'd be more impressed.
  9. Block 1/2 Itchen having a sing song
  10. Really? I didn't see him struggling against Arnhem or particularly against Newcastle he didn't have a great game yesterday (though he improved second half) but he was hardly alone in that.
  11. Hell yeah got to have the Punch in there
  12. Can you include Toby I mean he was never technically ours? Looks like you'd have to stick either Jos the boss or Danny Seaborne in there to me. Also you'd really pick Jonno quick over Guly or Billy Sharp (or even Lee Barnard)? Surely you'd leave Surman out for Jack Cork? What's your bench like got room for Danny Butterfield, Dan Harding or Dean Hammond?
  13. oohh new signing ITK? what league are they playing in?
  14. You must have missed the second half then when he held up, tackled and won the ball off Lukaku several times.
  15. Shouldn't we give our two new DMs a chance before we make that conclusion?
  16. TBF even if we had kept Morgan and Clyne finishing 7th for a second season in the row would be a big ask.
  17. Yep first thing he is going to do is bring the club under fan control Alpine will be the new chairman supported by various bed wetters with carte blanche to spend this club to success while lowering the prices of everything at the club to make it better for the common man.....
  18. I now have visions of this
  19. Looking at the goals we've conceded so far I'm not sure Toby (or Morgan) would be making a lot of difference a lot of these goals so far this season are coming from counter attacks when all our CB are committed up field. Leaving Cedric and Targett out numbered and out muscled (and the obvious scapegoats). Considering how crap our corners are we might as well leave one of CB back to help stop rapid counter attacks from our own set pieces. Talking of set pieces how come we don't leave someone (Mane seems the obvious choice) up field when we defend corners? Seems like when ever we clear our lines we just give the ball back to the opposition. Everton left Kone or Lukaku up field at corners to help with a rapid counter attacks when they cleared the ball.
  20. Fair play. My sons first game was Charlton at home the season we were relegated from the championship and had just gone into administration. Awful game, terrible result and a depressing atmosphere yet, surprisingly, he still wanted to go again the next season of course since then he has known nothing but good times as a saints fan.
  21. Interesting interview with Tadic in the match day programme yesterday. Did you know he played most of last season with a groin injury playing on despite the pain until Koeman had to force him to rest? According to the article he is the first player on the training ground and the last one off it at most training sessions. He even got in to trouble with Koeman last season when he turned up at Staplewood to train on his own on a players day off. Against Newcastle, according to some stats I saw, he committed and won more tackles than any other player on either team as well as providing another assisst. People complain we don't have creative players in the team then moan when we do because those players don't run around like headless chickens.
  22. Everton were ok but they weren't all that either they played a decent counter attack game and defended well enough and we were below par. I wasn't stood there watching the game yesterday thinking wow Everton are a real cut above us player wise. We set up badly and once we went a goal down had to push for an equaliser leaving us open to counter attacks.
  23. Still recovering from a heavy night of partying with the WAGs?
  24. Funny stat I saw the other day was that against Newcastle Tadic executed and won more Tackles than any other player (from both teams) on the pitch so he does have it in him.
