  1. I agree if NC had kept his thoughts just between him and AP, as it should have been this article wouldn't have been written. NC has every right to tell AP he is not happy but not in a public statement. I'd be ****ed if my boss decided to bollock me in front of the entire workplace rather than taking me aside and doing it properly. If he is going to do it in public then he should be man enough to come out and praise AP for the good stuff in public too.
  2. I don't know I think yesterday proved 4-4-2 is the way to go tried something different and we where awful went to 4-4-2 and bossed the rest of the half. 4-4-2 is what the players seem most comfortable playing it seems. Only problem is we need a quaility replacement for Morgan without him we're only half the team we can be (as shown by the second half yesterday). I think Mills has had some good games for us he was pretty solid on saturday againt the Dons and he kept Harding out of the team for a few matches, Mills just seems inconsistent but he's still quite young. Puncheon seems very ordinary so far every time I've seem him although people tell me he was brillant against Huddersfield and Wallsal so who knows.
  3. Hardly our best team though plus AP tried to play a different system (which he admits was a mistake) so I find difficult to be to hard on the boys (that and the fact they did actually win). Swindon was our best eleven in our normal formation and a far far worse performance all thing considered.
  4. I think some of what he says has merit, but the style in which he has put it across leaves something to be desired. I can't help feeling that many in the football world (press pundits etc) think Pardew has done a decent Job (not spectacular but decent) in his first season here all things considered, something I happen to agree with. I have to say some of NC comments worry me, being ambitous is fine but it needs to tempered with a slice of realism of how far we've come in the last few months.
  5. Becuase we have no one else, Perry would get done by any half speedy winger. I wasn't there last night (although Harding got quite a few shout outs on the radio) but I was at MK Dons on saturday and Dan had a good game. Of course its not ideal but he is probably the best option we have at the moment, its a move bourne of despration not choice but its the best move we have at the moment.
  6. Good result considering that we had a bit of a makeshift team (still had some good players in it but not our first eleven by any stretch). Shows how important Morgan is and how we really need a couple of good central midfield players for the bench. Once we replaced Morgan with Wotton we looked a lot weaker and struggled. Nice to see papa scored again. Finally we seemed struggle early in the match playing 4-3-1-2 but got a lot better playing 4-4-2 we seem to play best in 4-4-2 IMO.
  7. Thats the way I see it (and have done for a while), there's just to many teams they can't all **** it up. Without the -10 we'd be well placed for a last gasp push for the play offs but with the -10 it's to much to do with the games left.
  8. Well having been there I'm still trying to forget the Swindon match. The Mk Dons match left me with much nicer memories:p
  9. Weren't we away on saturday and MK brought a few it was their stadium?
  10. Lambert can talk to any club he likes along as that club comes up with the right cash (at least 4million I reckon) everyones laughing. I think Lambert is fantastic but with 4mil we could could get quite a lot of quaility division one players. Brizzile have survived without him and so would we. With the management we have now I'm confident that money will be spent on quaility replacements rather than diappering without a trace like it did under the previous regime. Mind you if Lambert wants to stay I'll be very very happy.
  11. Hope we try and pick up Snodgrass then quaility player, Kisnorbo is a dirty git but is a very good defender (good replacement for Jahidi?). We will have money to burn as people keep telling me that Lambert,Lallana and Morgan are all off in the summer so should net a few million to strengthen the side might as well raid leeds for thier talent:D.
  12. The league is done it would take a miracle to get out this year. Silverware comes first to throw away the chance to actually win a ****ing trophy just for an outside chance of the playoffs would be stupid. I and the other 44000 will remember the JPT winners (if they win). Clubs are rembered for their trophies (and I mean proper ones not winning the playoffs trophies) there will be plenty of years to celebrate the achievements of finishing in the bottom half of the EPL season after season in the years to come, the chance to win a trophy comes around but rarely.
  13. Injured I believe:( http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/PreviewDetail/0,,10280~2001648,00.html
  14. I have no idea got a text from a mate friday who had a spare ticket and wanted to know If I wanted to go, I'm still picking bits of his arm out of my teeth after I bit it off.:smt041
  15. Must be something in the water down here
  16. Something that needs adressing in the summer not enough quaility cover. I assume we will line up Davis Harding Fonte Seabourne Mills Wagio Hammond Morgan Puncheon Lambert Barnard still not a bad side though vunreable on the right.
  17. Thats the thing I'm not worried about players leaving anymore. If the new owner wants his five (or three) year plan to work he has to invest in quaility (at this level) players. We don't need to accept the first offer through the door to pay the taxman or whatever, so I'm happy to believe that we will replace quaility with quaility. Coupled with being an attractive place to come in the lower leagues we should have the pick of the best lower league players that we need to get back to the Fizzy pop.
  18. We where at MK (was my sons first away match). I'm glad I started taking him this season (so far he has only seen saints lose once this year to Swindon:mad:). If I'd taken him last season he'd be a Manure fan like all his friends by now. This year though he has loved it now he's red and white just like his dad:D.
  19. So how much does Lambert, Lallana and Morgan bring us 5mil(?) even if we give Marcus his 3 mil back from this years spending we'd still have 2mil to buy replacements which is plenty at this level.
  20. He did score for the reserves against Swindon........................
  21. He got almost a full 90 mins of rest on saturday. I'm told he was on the pitch but I have my doubts becuase I can't say I noticed him.
  22. Well seeing as Morgan was the clubs leading offender with the most yellow and Red cards in the team (a few weeks ago I haven't checked in the last couple) I don't think we need to worry about Morgan sticking up from himself against aggressive players. Last year Morgan wouldn't/couldn't tackle for toffee this year the physical side of his game has improved and he is putting him self about a lot more. I can't help feeling that for some reason you'd like all our best players to leave in the summer? It seems to be a common theme ina lot of your posts at the moment.
  23. You maybe right you may not. At the end of the day if Lambert goes for 3million I won't cry becuase we can still buy another million pound striker and have made 2 million more which NC can give back to Marcus if he is unhappy about the money we spent. To be honest I think alot of our players seem very happy here most knew that promotion was a long shot (playoffs maybe, promotion though was not odds on this year) this year yet they still came and signed long contracts. Also no matter what a player wants the club has to agree a price first and NC won't let anyone leave cheap.
  24. ITK or just guessing?
  25. Your entitled to your opinion of course, but it seems to me people complained for years about not win anything. Now we have a chance to win something people say who cares couldn't give a ****. For me the JPT is a big deal but then I've always loved cup competitions. We're a league one club so winning a cup for league one/two teams shouldn't really be embarassing. It's not like our trophy cabinet is exactly full to the brim with silverware is it? To be honest as almost half our strongest eleven can't play in the JPT I see no reason why we can't still play for a strong end to the season and win the JPT.
