  1. 1-0 England
  2. Great through ball from Clyne, but Wickham was offside
  3. Skillful player, only 19 and Birmingham are not doing well financially. Would be a good signing.
  4. England need to stop allowing Veratti so much space, they are letting him pick his passes at will.
  5. England coming back into it last couple of minutes.
  6. Redmond looking pretty good, the rest of the team...not so much. Passing is embarrassing thus far.
  7. http://translate.google.co.uk/translate?hl=en&sl=ca&u=http://www.324.cat/noticia/2131299/altres/LEspanyol-creu-que-el-futur-de-Verdu-es-decidira-en-els-proxims-dies&prev=/search%3Fq%3Djoan%2Bverdu%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26hs%3Dc4w%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official%26biw%3D1366%26bih%3D606%26tbs%3Dqdr:d Apparently, Espanyol want to give Verdu a new deal and the player will make a decision in the next few days as whether he wants to stay there.
  8. OTOH, given Villa's struggle the past couple of seasons, Lerner would be foolish not to consider loosening the purse strings a bit this Summer and allow Lambert to bring in that little bit more quality they need to be comfortable next season.
  9. Belhanda would be a good signing for a top 4 side so fair play to Villa if they can get that one through.
  10. Where did all the Lamela talk even come from?
  11. Yeah, Bologna and Juventus have one of those Co-Ownership deals with him
  12. Something relevent to a player we've been linked with...
  13. The bid was made 2 months ago and Negredo told the Sevilla he wasn't interested, apparently.
  14. Negredo - 25 goals...14.5m Andy Carroll - 7 goals...15m I can see why Sevilla said no.
  15. Michail Antonio to make his glorious return.
  16. Too **** for Sunderland, too **** for Saints.
  17. 2-2 Hodgson out
  18. That game, in addition to the QPR game and Newcastle away highlighted how important it is to have pace at the back if we want to continue playing high, pressing football. Even when Clyne and Shaw are playing we still look vulnerable to the long ball through the middle as all our CBs are lacking for pace. Yoshida can read the game well but he needs to be partnered with a Strong, Quick CB who can handle players like Lukaku, Remy and Cisse. Defensively it is a risky strategy as it can invite long balls and counters and unfortunately Hooiveld, Fonte, Fox are nowhere near good enough to play in such a system. It should also be pointed out that as teams got up to speed with MP's tactics and decided to sit back and look for the counter attack, it became all too apparent that our attacking players do not have the end product to break these sides down. Hopefully, over the summer, the club can bring in players who have the quality and physical attributes required to play MP's way effectively and those that can't are phased out or moved on.
  19. -------------------------Boruc----------------------- Clyne------------new------------new-----------Shaw ------------------Cork-----------Schneiderlin--------- new---------------------Ramirez------------------new --------------------------new------------------------ If the side wants to cement itself comfortably in the top half, we need more quality at CB, a striker that combines Lambert's strength and Rodriguez' mobility and attacking midfielders/wingers with a better, more consistent final ball/cross/finish.
  20. Special Portuguese player? Don't tell me Luis Boa Morte is going to make his triumphant return to Saints.
  21. Kiyotake is no mug, 10 assists last season and one of the best crossers in the Bundesliga. would be a v good addition.
  22. Buckley was also linked with Fulham the other day and only has one season left on his contract. Could well be an agent trying to get his man a new deal at Brighton.
  23. Lambert has scored more goals this season than Andy Carroll has scored the the 2 and a half years since he moved to Liverpool. If you discount Lambert's three penalties and Carroll's 1 penalty it's a tie.
  24. Nah, England play just like the Dortmund side that impressed everyone in the CL. Well...according to Hodgson anyway. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/international/roy-hodgson-compares-england-to-borussia-dortmund-after-gary-lineker-accuses-the-national-side-of-going-back-to-the-dark-ages-8636804.html
  25. I see lots of people talking about it, but where has the rumour come from? He'd be a decent signing IMO.
