Most of the reports have suggested that this Cortese/Liebherrs matter will be resolved, one way or the other, by the end of the month. The problem is that if Cortese does walk it is unlikely business will be done until the Liebherrs have installed a new Chairman, which obviously would disrupt preparations for next season, especially if the hiring process drags on.

Pretty sure it's the same guy who did the Pochettino interview for football focus a couple of weeks ago.

Alan Nixon Alan Nixon @reluctantnicko Protected account 10m @markreeves999 There's a blame game going on right now. Heard NC was shaking things up last week. Maybe somebody asking about him too Alan Nixon @reluctantnicko Protected account 3m @gregvul @markreeves999 Blame game on results and lack of improvement since boss change.

Alex Goring Crook @alex_crook 3m Good news is I am told the Liebherr family are not actively looking to sell #saintsfc but would be open to offers if they came along

Alex Goring Crook @alex_crook 3m Am told public spats with Benali and Le Tissier have NOT helped NC's case with Liebherrr family who are considered about image of #saintsfc Alex Goring Crook Alex Goring Crook @alex_crook 5m Have made a few calls and it seems the Liebherr family are keen to wrestle some control back from Cortese on day to day running of #saintsfc

Alex Goring Crook @alex_crook 5m @Bunkybowers you are correct but it is more what this symbolises. The issue is Cortese wants to spend big to improve team and owners dont
-
Well, according to Alan Nixon, 'Arry wants to spend 6m on Gary Hooper so his strategy I imagine will be to dupe Fernandes into giving him a ****load of money to spend in the summer. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/qpr-celtic-transfer-news-harry-1886035

Sunderland 1-1 SAINTS // Post-Match Reaction
MOSaint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Job Done, Now get some more power and composure at CB and attacking players who can consistently produce the goods in the final third, particularly against teams who want to defend deep and in numbers and a defensive midfield powerhouse to go straight into the team and get some real cover at full back and we can hopefully have a stress free season next year. -
Sunderland 1-1 SAINTS // Post-Match Reaction
MOSaint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
We did enough, showed some character to go one down and rescue the draw given what was on the line. -
Dour first half, no pace or urgency to our passing and Sunderland look happy to sit deep. Clyne & Shaw are our most dangerous attackers atm.

He might not be too far behind on goals, but assists wise I'd be surprised if he's close (particularly to Lallana) in assists Apps Assists Key Passes Avg. Passes Pass Suc% Crosses LB TB Rating Premier League* 7(12) - 0.3 8.9 86.4 0.1 0.3 0.1 6.49 0.1 accurate crosses per match, he's managed 2 accurate crosses in 22 attempts and 0 assists. That is not very good for a winger. that is what i meant by my youtube comment. Obviously McManaman is way better than Steve De Ridder could ever hope to be, but watching him play full matches I just find that despite the number of times and general ease of which he gets into dangerous areas, it comes to nothing too often. Obviously he's only 22 so he will probably get better, but for me he needs another season of regular football to get that part of his game right. If we did bring him in I wouldn't be upset, but I wouldn't be heralding it as a signing that will propel us up the table either.
-
And I've seen him put in some real stinkers for crosses and make a mess of real scoring chances. Scored a couple of nice goals recently that will look good in a youtube video no doubt about that.
-
I'm not so sure about McManaman. He's quick and very good at getting into the right areas but his end product is awful.
-
Would be a bargain at that price.
-
Here is a internet translation Seems he wants to leave PSV this summer and would like to play in England, would be an excellent signing. scored and created more this season than he did the previous season.
-
Yeah, Altidore has grown as a player in Holland. Strong and has pace. One negative is that when he was at Huil a few years back he was a far from impressive.
-
Stam on for 30 seconds for Wigan and already may have hurt himself
-
Tremmel is pretty good, not like they have to put a Gazzaniga level 'keeper on.
-
Tiendalli you ****ing beauty

YES I should never have doubted you Schechter
