OK, so anyone like to guess the team for manure ?

I hate to say it, my predictions for the games starting at Villa have proved right.

If we had got the deserved point it would have been some compensation for a very worrying injury list.

OK. We were unlucky. I am now more concerned about the injury situation.

Jeez we have some injury problems.

That is what I predicted. I think more importantly is getting points from a few winnable games after this run. We need if possible to be inside the 30's by the end of January.

If we do play meaningless crap, then lets do it after we get to the 40 point mark when it does not matter.

I would rather ditch a meaningless cup and finish higher up the league any day.

Which is why we should have engineered a discreet exit from the League Cup.

I wouldn't be that disappointed if we finished 17th. There is only really one objective for each season...avoid being relegated.

Getting into Europe would be a disaster. Finishing 8th is ideal.

Cheer up Alpine ! 6th or 8th would be an immense achievement. We were beaten by a team that are a grade above us and there is no shame in that. We have two ore difficult games before we have a chance to play teams at our level. Keep on beating the latter and we will finish comfortable mid table or better. It could be worse, we could be in a relegation scrap !

Agreed, we might only see him about April time and if we are safe it would be mad to take chances. If he has the summer to really get back to normal he could well be a fixture for the August K.O. I hope we get a few players in during January.

Hmm...I did predict 1 point from 4 starting with Villa. We have to get back to winning ways after these very difficult fixtures and probably will, but I think like last season we will be dawdle over the finish line as opposed to the sprint we have witnessed.

Excellent post. A bit of perspective is needed. We are only 14 points short of the magic 40 points and we are still in November. We should finish comfortably, if not in the top 10.
