Looks like we will have to 'Park the Bus' and hit them on the break.

Complacency is the greatest danger. Although we are high up in the league 5 or 6 more defeats could see us uncomfortably close to the trap door. A win, any win will help to restore a bit of confidence.

I hope you are right. Lets hope for a win against the 'Toffeemen', any type will do including a lucky win. We are due one.

The last part of the post says it really. Do we 'park the bus' and try and hit them on the break ? Do we try and break up the flow of the game using all the known tactics ? Are the points more important than the product ? Koeman has a lot to decide. Personally I would take the points right now, however ugly the game.

Imagine that would be a disaster. There must be some good Championship players we can tempt to the Premier League. I do think we should have tried harder for Ings during the summer and it is a shame, but I cannot see JayRod returning before April.

Well, let's hope so. I said on another thread, we need to dig and start grinding out results. In a way, if we are the underdogs again there is no shame in parking the bus and nicking a point. Another factor will be our recruiting in January. We need some good players to shore up a squad that is beginning to buckle.

Very much agree with this. Anyway, at least we can now concentrate on the league. We have our backs to the wall and we need to fight for every point, if necessary by parking the bus, nicking points and playing ugly. We are not in a relegation fight yet, but we cannot afford to be complacent.

Just what I was saying back in September. We would have been better making a dignified exit and to concentrate on the league. But, I was lambasted for my very rational opinion.

But what I want to know , is how far will we fall ?

I suppose we can dig. Try and hit them on the break and get 3 points. Points are far more important than performance. We need to show a bit of grit and play like a team fighting for their premier future instead of dreaming of a top 6 position.

Shows it hurt. We have problems against Everton. You can only hope that somehow we get a lucky victory.

The truth of the matter is, that I warned that we would fight to stay up and its looking like I might be right. Wake up and smell the coffee ! Take your head out the sand !

We might well have enough to stay up, but my prediction was 17th and I reckon it will be close to that.

I have said all along that we need to aim for the 40 point mark and that we will be fighting for our Premier status. I have been consistently ridiculed and yet now those very same people are starting to say exactly what I had dared to say through the start of the season.

As I predicted, we will be fighting relegation before long.

FFS ! Not worried about going out the CUp, but very worried about our Premier League status at this rate.
