You know you have hit a raw nerve when people react like that. It is great when the 'plastic' supporters get a 'bloody nose', long may it continue. My prediction of 16th to 18th seems a little wide of the mark this year. I think it would be wrong for me to make a prediction based on our current position as I think people should stick with their original prediction.

Quite right, I think someone said 41 to be mathematically safe. However, it looks like we will achieve that. I have always said that we should bow out of the Cups unless we are safe. I would say as we are more or less safe that our best strategy is to go on a Cup run and be happy with a 6th to 10th finish.

We still need another 4 points IMO. We have a good chance of making th 40 point mark, but the FA CUp, like the League Cup could distract us from the league.

I would put the reserve team out for the replay and field the strongest teams for the league matches.

You would think that the TV schedulers would have worked out that the Cup is about Blyth Spartans etc at this stage and offers something different than all premier league ties. However, just confirms the view that they do not think football life exists or matters outside the Premier teams. Ahhhhh !
