Sunderland are one of our bogey sides. A win would be great and more importantly help us to create a buffer of points ready for 'potentially' the hard games in December and January. Not, that I am underestimating the Black Cats.

We will need to get as many points as possible to cushion us against the likely run of a few maulings in December and January. The closer we get to the 40 point mark the more we can feel confident about staying up. Less than 6 points and we will be in a relegation scrap come Febraury.

This. Unlikley, but we could be in the Championship and that would change everything. Equally we could finish in the top 10 and be seen as pretty established, which might attract players to the club. In the meantime we have played just 7 games and many gruelling months ahead.

Without a doubt a six pointer, Sunderland will be round about the bottom third come the end of the season. We need to win games like these.
