Perhaps we could agree to, sell him later in the year but agree to a 'transition' period, One in which he plays for the club before his final exit so that we can all get used to the idea.

On a positive note we have only let in 2 goals from 3 games. That keeps me reasonably happy and 0-0 is not to be sneezed at in a very competitive league.

Say what you like. We have to move the VVD situation forward. My 'January' solution is a pragmatic way for both club and player to benefit whilst saving face. Ignore me if you like, but at the moment the current deadlock is of benefit to no-one.

Alternatively, get VVD and promise he can go in January as long as he helps us get enough points to make safety a more or less certainty.

Have to disagree, we should have let him go for as much as possible and replaced him. There are other options at the right price.
