  1. CB Fry is definitely on his own.
  2. Exactly. Huddersfield have a fine pedigree!
  3. Dramatic shoot out. Nice to see a team in the top flight after 45 years absence.
  4. Hoddle was working with players with a lot less talent. SFC was struggling to stay in the premier ague and Hoddle use tactics extremely well to get results.
  5. It doesn't work like that. Think back to 2004 when the best manager Hoddle, was passed over for Luggy, just because of the antics of the vocal minority.
  6. The relegation fight is on and we haven't even kicked off the season LOL !
  7. Bit personal, but anyway have a nice evening !
  8. It's the closed season. Can we all hibernated for the summer. Saints don't do anything until the first week of August...at the earliest.
  9. A suggestions box would be a good idea.
  10. I can't see much wrong with that analysis.
  11. Have the Saints Board looked inside the 'Suggestion Box' to get an idea of what people think? Probably not. The should do this asap.
  12. IMO the whole club, players, board, manager coaches etc knew this would be a tough season and the objective was to reach 40 points. Once we had done this, it was difficult to motivate everyone. Also, we had been to a Cup final which was a bonus. So, our season simply petered out. If you think we were the only ones, well look at WBA. They reached 40 points in late January and thereafter put the deckchairs out. The fact is that clubs like Saints have only really one aim in the league, survival. Once achieved their is little incentive to push on. That is why in the middle of the league there is so little difference. The only competition is in the top 5 and the bottom three or four.
  13. Considering my prediction, I should be delighted at finishing 8th. Indeed I am !
  14. Fair comment here. The bottom line is we stayed up comfortably, which was probably the objective of this season.
  15. Depends how you look at things. We managed to stay up, so the season was not a failure. You have to ask yourself, can Puel keep us up next season? If yes, better to keep him than take a risk on a new manager.
  16. We managed to stay up, so it is not a bad season. Perhaps we could have done better, but if you sell quality players and buy lesser ones, what do you expect? The team did its job and kept the club in the Premier league. We need to show the same determination again next season and grind out a few more 1-0 wins, especially against our near rivals like Stoke, Watford and AFCB.
  17. Thanks. That's bad luck. Could take 3 months, so mid August I suppose.
  18. Terrible idea. Support the team when they are on the pitch whatever.
  19. I heard that Long has picked up a foot injury? Is this correct?
  20. 0-0
  21. HT 0-0 and a missed penalty !
  22. Basically we have a squad that is strong enough to avoid relegation. Avoid relegation- Number 1 and only objective that matters. Can't argue with that.
  23. The way I look at it, is how many points we are above relegation. This is the biggest thrill.
  24. BFS will keep us up, maybe 16th or 17th.
  25. I think Puel just needs to stick to the job and stick to getting as many points as possible. Just stick to the task in hand.
