Southampton have signed FC Twente's attacking midfielder Dusan Tadic for an undisclosed fee, believed to be £10.9m. This is what I don't quite understand about the clubs wish for everything to be undisclosed, even undisclosed deals have the fee's ''understood to be...'' added to them anyway by the media! Kind of pointless! But not a bad price at all.

Their chairman is an utter maniac though, so I wouldn't take anything he says seriously.

We've just sold Shaw, Lallana, Lambert and Lovren - it would take a brave man to say we want to push on for certain......would make him look slightly foolish. It will take a lot of spending to even get us to the same level as last year, let alone better. It was a realistic statement which should be read as that. Time to take any stupid Top 4 or European ambitious out of peoples head's, for now. Next season is all about consolidating.

Dembele, Lamella, Soldado, Lennon, Vertonghan, Lloris, Walker - not a bad spine. The area's they probably will look to is a new LB and another striker, that's what I'd see as their priority's if I'm honest. I cannot see them spending what would need to be around £20m on a midfielder when they already have Sigurdson, Sandro, Paulinho, Dembele. Here's hoping, anyway!

To be honest, if all our signings are of this calibre, then we'll be more than fine.

£25m would be epic for a CB, who cost us £8m last year. As a board, whatever the situation, a club like us cannot pass up that sort of profit on a player - not a chance. Would be accepted no matter what. He is a high quality player, but I'd hope we are able to source a replacement who has a similar sort of impact for half that price.

I would imagine...and Hope! most of that deal is based on him scoring lots of goals and them winning promotion, because if they've splashed anything like £10m outright on him then they are insane.

Isla can play as a DM, WBR, WBL or general MR/ML type. Probably the highest quality ''jack of all trades'' we can attract. Would be an epic squad addition. (would play most weeks as well, would have him as a wing back myself!)

Assuming with the interest from other clubs, it was seen imperative to just focus on this and get this over the line.

He's not reported back to training, first day he contacted the club to say he was ill - but then pictures of him in LA surfaced, he still hasn't returned back. If we get rid of him on a free it's a good deal. Horrific person.

To be honest, based on the total squad annihilation we're seeing this summer, players like Fonte and Cork are in short supply - and we need to keep them longer-term. We just need to replace Lovren, and that will be that.

I think we want him for sure, but I don't think the club feel he's worth what Feyernord want. - which I'd tend to agree with. £10m for a 29 year old, unproven in a top league, is a hell of a gamble IMO. I'm sure both clubs will reach an agreement in the end, but Feyernord won't get exactly what they want IMO.
