What a totally pointlessly **** article.

lol. that's that then.

what's the point of £10m a year for the next 3 years? If they really want him, pay it all up front or sod off.
-
To be fair, At.Madrid are a pretty big club over there. It's a great story to see someone else win it though, but they do have some tremendous players in that side.
-
Borni is alright, lively little player who is a very skill full footballer to boot. Not prolific per say, but technically very handy.
-
To be honest, they've waffled for weeks. The last thing we need is more talk. Time to see actions now, and those actions will either be the exodus most are expecting, or a surprisingly resolute approach and the continuation of what we've been doing.

Sherwood has a damn decent record there. Weird call for him to be sacked, what's he done to deserve to be sacked?? Crazy club with a crap philosophy, not worth the hassle for MP in my opinion.

Gutted.

England World Cup Squad - Lambert, Lallana and Shaw included

The Rickie Lambert story just gets better and better - he deserves everything he gets. Just such an amazing story that will likely never be repeated again. -
Absolutely, investment is the key. But my argument is that if KL isn't prepared to invest, then sell us to someone who is. I don't want to see us become a Villa MK2 after Randy pulled back on his investment.

They spent a fair whack to be honest. McCarthy was about £15m, Lukaku's loan fee wouldn't have been cheap. McGeady came in for about £6-7m. The wages on Barry wouldn't have been cheap, as well as the loan fee - and obviously they reinvested into a new contract for Baines. So I think they probably did reinvest a big chunk of that Fellani money.

That's a bad thread, full of the same rat-pack as well all backing each other up. Who'd have thought it.
-
The problem is that people are assuming we'll be reinvesting every penny, when everything has pointed towards any $$$ we get...covering debts. They didn't make the comments about specific figures, and inheriting a difficult financial situation for the sake of it. They did it to prime us for sales and lower future investment in the first team squad.

It was an odd game really, quite a flat place in the 2nd half. It didn't help that around me it was full of people pointing out who was who for Utd, whilst taking constant pictures. and at about 2:30 crowds gathered in front of the kingsland taking pictures of the Utd players warming up. Seriously, do one.

When are we getting a video rant? I miss those.

In ''so many'' I think you're probably just referring to a single WUM? Can't remember anyone other than a WUM talking down Lallana. Gaston will not be here next year, that is pretty obvious. The replacement for Shaw is Matty Targett, with Clyne as the cover in that area. We may bring in another full back cover if Shaw does indeed go.

We've not peaked as a club in my opinion, but we have hit a glass ceiling. To exceed that glass ceiling then you need ambition and drive to reach for the stars. I'm not saying I believed any of the CL guff...but it was ambition, and if you aim for the stars you usually get a decent season out of it - which is what we've had. Last season, MP closed the season with a reaction to Chelsea's interest in Shaw etc. with the line ''They need to be worried about what players we want from them!!'' - obviously tongue very firmly in cheek, but it was a good reflection of the feeling in and around the club and the genuine ambition that was really there. What do we get this year? ''Other clubs have more clout than us'' ''We'll do what's best for the club''. Yeah, Brilliant. We're at a cross-roads, we either go that extra mile and try to get up there with the likes of Everton, Spurs etc.....or we stop and subside back into the lower reaches of the league, unfortunately it seems as if this is what we have chosen to do. It's clear that NC had seriously ambitious plans for this football club but as each day goes, it's clear that KL didn't have the same plans, ideas or financial clout to achieve any of it - the comments re: inheriting a difficult financial situation screamed alarm bells for me, and from that moment on we were primed for sales. It's likely that we will lose a few this summer, whilst Chambers is also attracting big interest, but we may have him for another year. The waffle coming from RK is just that, PR guff. I don't really buy into these talkative chairman as quite honestly they usually achieve jack **** - talk is talk, but actions speak louder and the actions aren't matching the talk it has to be said. NC was a nasty piece of work, had no time for reputations or history, but he achieved results in what actually mattered - the here and the now. It's been an incredible 5 years, but it does make you feel a bit depressed that we're about to see it all ripped apart in front of our eyes - it's been fun, but I guess in 18 months or so, we'll be wondering if it was actually worth it!

£40m for shaw and then they pay us an additional £20m to take Cleverley more like.

Chelsea left-back Ashley Cole has been left out of England's World Cup squad and will not be on their standby list. Southampton youngster Luke Shaw, 18, will be included in the squad. Confirmed. Well played Shaw, wonder if he'll get any minutes? Baines is a pretty reliable number to start with. (and to be fair, we may only have 3 games!!) -
Is this cryptic for some transfer gossip?
-
The guy is a complete nutter, so wouldn't surprise me. In fact, I'd expect it. He's a right bitter bugger when he doesn't get his way, and clearly he didn't get his way with SFC.
