  1. He's just setting out his mind-games position ahead of the new season. Fact is that he speaks **** to rile people, he used to be good at it, but is now painfully predictable.
  2. Just posted that above Dubai
  3. http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/492185/Ronald-Koeman-ready-to-splash-50m-on-new-look-Southampton
  4. Forster will happen, and for one he is the keeper I've wanted for a while. Good player, experienced at the very highest level.
  5. Would imagine it'll be confirmed on Monday, along with Chambers.
  6. To be honest, it means nothing really. We said we wanted 25m for Lovren, £30m for Lallana, £40m for Shaw. We'll probably get £15m or so for him.
  7. If we spread the 'replacing of players' to the January transfer window, we will be relegated before we even get there. I'm sure we'll get them, but we need to replace all we've lost and add some squad players before the end of THIS window, otherwise we are in severe danger.
  8. He does actually look the real deal. I really hope he's given the chance there and isn't shipped out on loan every year. I think he could be one of the best to come out of their for decades.
  9. It's not 16m though. Will be a long time, if ever, that we actually see anywhere near that. Apparently it's around £4m up front, further £4m next year, and the rest on league wins, league apps, cup wins, international apps and CL apps. It looks a lot, but is actually very heavily based around achievements.
  10. PM please......I do miss these good old PM rounds.
  11. Injured on 1 minute. Out for the decade.
  12. Lallana got 2, Lambert got 10 and Lovren got 8. But Pelle Scored 21 FT - L'Pool 20 - 21 Southampton
  13. Nice one Hans, along with Ralf - utter clueless. After his ''difficult'' financial situations comments, he leaves a lot to be desired. but based on that interview, we should be spending £60m, as we didn't actually need that money anyway.
  14. Please provide some positive news. Is Rojo a possibility?
  15. Sell him.
  16. I think he put Chamberlains in the bin. Oh.
  17. It's hard to read too much into it yet, but he has a good touch and moves around the field well - looks nice and mobile. As above, he got no real service though. Tadic was the only bright spark in terms of a creative influence from the flanks. That cross he put in for Isgrove was a damn peach.
  18. You are a complete weirdo.
  19. 1st week of August I think the finalists return to their clubs, may be wrong. Also worth noting that Guan said another 5/6, but the 6th will depend on the quality of the 5th - or along those lines. And seeing as Rojo can play left sided CB, as well as LB...we may be getting 2 players in 1. Who knows.
  20. Missing the point. We didn't have the squad for the league, but we should have done more in the cups - that's what I was getting at. But in terms of challenging for the top 4, we'd have needed much more. A Lukaku type forward, another Lovren style CB and an able cover for Luke Shaw - probably another couple of wide options too. We may have had 5 or so players who were at that level, but the squad wasn't. The finance and commitment needed to take the rest of the squad up to that level wasn't sustainable for us. KL has obviously said as much, and from that moment on NC knew the game was up and he needed to manoeuvre his way out of it.
  21. Now, I started the Tadic rumour thread and that ended well...so I'll have a go at this one too. Seemingly there is something in it, what with Koeman making somewhat of a slip last night when speaking about a new left back we'll be getting. Add this to the following rumours from the past few days, and I think this is an active goer. He's 24, an international and will cost around £12m. Should be doable I'd think. http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/490707/Southampton-steal-march-on-Man-Utd-Liverpool-and-Arsenal-for-Argentina-star-Marcos-Rojo And for people who don't know much about him, he is there predictable youtube video: Might as well have a somewhat positive thread in amongst all the meltdowns.
  22. This is what worries me a little, the entire influx of new players will take some time. The difference though is that we're shopping in a higher quality food market than them. Sunderland bought lots and lots and lots of dross, didn't actually spend a huge amount, just lots of dross. I think we'll have more success with who we bring in, and I don't think we'll sign as many players as Sunderland did!
  23. What do you think? Top 4 and Champions league football. That's what was sold to them. If you thought that was ever feasible by a club of our size in this day and age, then more fool you.
  24. Jenkinson would be good backup to Clyne, and Gnabry is decent enough. Not sure what's wrong with that? £16m, and 2 similar level players on loan.
  25. Or it's option 3? 3 - Players sold a totally unsustainable and unfeasible plan by previous chairman, they all want out when they realise it cannot happen. Club left with a huge mess to clear up. Club receives huge fees for players who don't want to be here, they kick off and start moaning in the media. Puts us into a corner, but we sort out good fee's and are in a position to reinvest back into the side.
