Olly Lancashire's shock tweet about Southampton Football Club
S-Clarke replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
More than most of us tbf. -
I don't think he's that bad, but his good movement is being let down by his awful touch, which isn't something you'd usually associate with him. We're not exactly the place for young players to thrive at the moment, which is why I think young W-P has been dragged out of the firing line.
-
He was horrific tonight. Painful to watch. I don't think he's been our best player this season, he's had a couple of good games, but is starting to look worryingly lightweight against any midfielder with a bit of strength.
-
Vincent Pericard made appearances for Stoke that season, and Fuller was their top scorer. Nuff said.
-
I am still of the opinion that worse players have given it a better crack than our lot. Last season Norwich had Russell Flaming Martin at full back, Zak Whitbred, Elliot Ward. Nout special. Just a bit of organization and grit about them. I don't think it was beyond reality to expect us to have a decent crack this year.
-
The thousands at WBA sounded pretty much for him. At the end of the day this forum represents an incredibly small percentage.
-
Corks been injured. I do like him, but I still feel he's becoming a better player than he actually is due to his injury. Similar happens to most players who are out when we start losing.
-
We don't really need fans like you. HTH.
-
Bit of a woffly interview from NA.
-
Struck of a performance where he seems to have lost the lot.
-
No idea what he was tonight, all fart and not much else.
-
He put himself about to be fair, but isn't anywhere near the required quality.
-
Well said.
-
Clyne was decent, but Lallana had a nightmare.
-
It's not as straight forward as that. They're starting to look devoid of confidence, guidance or any idea's. It's looking very rudderless out there at the moment, sometimes a change is the only thing that can swing it in the other direction.
-
Morgan very poor, we really didn't need a performance like that from him. In all honesty, both CM's were hopeless. Didn't offer anything in attack and were eased off the ball for fun. They need to baulk up.
-
Not unlucky at all, we were ****. WBA were there for the taking, we offered zilch. Couple of half chances here and there, but it was way too easy for them. They aren't that good a side, they'll drift down the league as the season goes on. It's just worrying that bog-standard sides like these make it look so easy against us.
-
Fox was alright, and we weren't really troubled down the flanks for the majority of the game - only the occasion where Lallana went for a winter stroll.
-
Nigel looks like a dead man walking there. I thought it was a pretty abysmal game of football, West Brom were pretty hopeless and if we were half decent we'd have given them a game there, but we didn't. They were **** and still scored 2, could have scored more, and worryingly kept us quiet with complete ease. Not sure where we go from here, but we are a long, long way off the pace of being a PL team. Time to pull the bedsheets over our heads until January because it's not going to be pretty.
-
Very well summed up.
-
Lots of sense from Neville. Yoshida doesn't look great if we're honest.
-
We've got no pace in the attack, get Mayuka out there. Rodriguez has been easy to defend against today, and Rickie aint been much better.
-
I still stand by what I said in that we need a strong CM in there, we're too easy to brush off the ball in the middle of the park. Decent ball players, but no strength and grit in there.
-
I think they've looked poor, but we've equally look as poor if not worse at times. At least they look solid when we attack, so in that sense it's probably a deserved lead for them! Still plenty more in this game, but we now have to score, so I can see plenty more openings for WBA. 4-5 anyone?
-
Gaston has been pretty poor out there, putting us into many difficult situations at the back with his sloppy retention. At the mo, he's making us weaker with his poor passing. Overall they've been poor, it's been a pretty flat game devoid of much activity, but we've still conceded a goal.
