Can do anytime except the next two weeks - but go ahead without me if others can make it Last week of season sounds a good idea
-
Ah - I remember you now...
-
Yes, maybe I'm mis-reading it - perhaps those 'stuffed' weekday evenings are spent in The Lounge!
-
What it is to have a proper social life....!
-
I'm up for that
-
Blimey - Barton P taking over! I'm in that one - end of third row from the back. First year. Did you have John Sweeney (journo famous for investigating Scientology. Loud smartass at BP) in your year then - or was he the one in between us? Hi Eric! - as you say I'm a few along from you with shockingly long hair (KF). PM me if you're going to be back for a game & we'll have a beer
-
Am still away that week but definitely up for w/c 13th April Thanks for offering to arrange
-
Actually I suppose a meeting doesn't have to wait for a game - especially as there aren't any more evening televised games this season. Happy to do a beer after work sometime. Am away over Easter hols though
-
Tadic's penalty last week - 350th since the war
SO5 4BW replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
So that's in league and cups? Most important - Peach in the semi-final, Paine v Forest in the first year in the top division, any others...? Who were the guilty men? - we must have had a terrible record pre-Peach to have missed 21% in total since the war -
...so watching the mighty SFC with a few beers after work an attractive proposition
-
Ah - no. Live in leafy Surrey/work in London. Consequently spend most of waking hours in SE1. So
-
Huh? CL on TV. In a pub. In London.
-
Ok, ok - for the sake of your reputation! The TV matches I'd be up for are midweek rather then at weekends (either home in leafy Surrey then or at SMS) so I'll organise something for the first one of next season. Champions league away leg, that sort of thing...
-
But the identification of the problem (post #1) and suggested solution (#9) were both yours Lou - you sound like a natural organiser!
-
Think most of the London Saints activity is organising to get down to matches so the field is clear for televised matches. Cooler London gathering sounds good.
-
Guess the answer to both the last question and the OP is 'no'. I'd be up for watching any evening games in a pub in London. I can't guarantee getting away from work early enough to get down to SMS these days
-
Both Bird and Adams only here up to June - then I think they're looking to get Kyle Abbott back. Rest of the bowling is Tomlinson, Wood, Briggs plus Ervine and a perhaps-fit Berg. Not sure first division batsmen will be having sleepless nights facing that line-up
-
I think the bowling was light anyway for next year before Coles left - think we'll struggle, unfortunately
-
Great - the HCCC tread means it's nearly spring I think we'll struggle - although Worcs should yo-yo again and take one of the relegation spots. I'm not sure if the bowling is deep enough. And Vince may get an England call up
-
They could. At present though either the Bergkamp, Henry etc Arsenal four already mentioned - or Ronaldo/Rooney/Tevez/Giggs from the MUFC team that won the 2008 Champions League And Fabegas is not playing as part of the Chelsea front four is he?
-
Mathematical pedant alert - turning 360 degrees means you're back where you started from. I'm really glad he's done a 180 degree turn though! Great video

More stats. Since the PL went to 38 games in 1995-96 a team has had 22 points or more after 10 games on 37 occasions. The 37 times break down like this: Champions = 10; 2nd = 12; 3rd = 6; 4th = 4 (so 32/37 in the CL places). Then 5th twice, 6th, 9th, 10th The only example for the "it'll all fall apart when they meet the big boys" view is Wigan in 2005-06. 25 points after 11 games, 2nd place, 5 goals conceded. They then played Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool, Chelsea and Man U in succession (who turned out to be that season's top 5), lost the lot and were average for the rest of the season, finishing tenth.
-
That might work - thanks They quietly discontinued them last month, when they announced the watch
-
Can't - have got 121GB of music. And the capacity of the iPhone would be a lot less than 128 once the OS and apps are included
-
True. Had hoped some stores would still be selling remaining stock at the £180-£190 RRP. Obviously not.
