Think we were a bit naive against their low block. Needed our wide players wide. For me, Fellows stayed wide, as did Edozie. But Scienza kept coming inside where there wasn’t a lot of space and I have no idea what Matsuki was doing. He was fucking dogshit. We didn’t do the simple things well. I like Azaz, but sometimes his first touch is like he’s wearing lead boots. Shea Charles may have broken a record today for the amount of times he gave the ball away. All in all, a pretty shitty game. Thought Charlton’s centre-backs were excellent. The goal we conceded looked like we couldn’t be bothered to close down from the wide position to the shot. Downes looked lucky not to get a red. But he is becoming my favourite player, so combative. We’re not a very good side.

Brilliant that Downes is fit. Surprised at Archer’s inclusion as it changes slightly the way we’ve been playing. He’s not going to hold the ball up, but he will run in behind. Reckon Azaz finds him with some of his lovely passes round the corner and he scores a few. Fucking Leicester, perennial financial cheats. Hope they go down this season, been taking the piss ever since they had all their debts written off years ago when they went into administration, free of any points deduction. Downes will be a big miss tonight. He has been outstanding in recent games. Keep it tight and nick a late goal.
