You are 100% correct JB, we do, although not to the same degree that we look at far right extremism; Stalin's pogroms, Ukrainian famine, the 'five year plans', the revolution are all studied to some degree. However, this is mostly studied at A-Level from my experience. We recently ditched our Cold War syallabus as well so we don't unfortuantly look at China/Cuba/N.Korea etc which is a real shame as these topics are fascinating.

Hello EDL racist. I make no excuse for that comment; fight fire with fire with regards to the EDL. If violence is all they understand then violence is all they deserve. I'm not a violent man, I've never taken part in any UAF 'thuggery' (as you call it) in fact I'm an extremely passive member of UAF, all I've ever done is a bit of leafleting back when I was student many moons ago. However, I won't feel guilty about the treatment scum in the EDL/BNP recieve at the hands of those members of the UAF that do take part in violence. The people in these organisations disgust me (not just from a political stand point, but also as a football fan) and IMO deserve everything they get. When I see on the news that UAF has been involved in 'clashes' with racist scum, I do cringe, as I know it cheapens our cause, but I also understand that if you are provoked to a certain point, it is almost impossible not to react in that sort of situation. Also, these clashes always seem to be comical with UAF throwing things like eggs, not really thuggery is it?

Personally I think ST holders should only get one chance, and then those who bought Ipswich and then restricted general sale. I'm not even biased, I'm not a ST holder, neither did I go to the Ipswich game.
-
Agreed, I need to get this monkey off my back!
-
That sir, is a plan!
-
I can only hope that restricted general sale works in my favour as I don't have a ST or went to the Ipswich game, but I won't be holding grudges to those who do get tickets. Either way, it's bound to be on TV and city centre will be buzzing!
-
I'll be honest, I think you'll beat us about 2/3-0, but one last flourish before you clear off altogether, there will be no hard feelings
-
JESUS CHRIST!!! I'm already resigned to the fact I won't get a ticket as I'm sure it will be ST holders then those who went to the Ipswich game - but it's bound to be on TV so I will be coming home, going into town and getting right on it. I bet Hampshire constabulary are well gutted with that draw!
-
haha, 3rd fail.

Do you not think that a difference in tactics might have something to do with it? Couldn't Boothroyd have 'got it right' against us but misjudged Norwich?

Two epic fails in one day TNT, good work.

It must be a worry for parents everywhere that their child might be taught my a member of an anti-extreme right wing organisation. The majority of teachers, if not a member of any type of political group, will hold the same sentiments as me on this issue. However, again, we are diverting away from what Bexy's OP was about.
-
Jesus, just because he isn't scoring a goal a game...what striker in ANY league could you say should be scoring a goal a game? Some of you on here need to get a grip!

This will be my last post in reply to you hamster, you're a waster. My school is in a very run down part of Essex where the majority of our pupils are the first in their families to move on to higher education. Many studies will tell you that it is a sad fact that those children from deprived backgrounds usually leave school with poorer grades than those from more wealthy backgrounds. At my school, we take great pride in bucking this trend and working our bloody arses off to achieve a percentage of A*-C grades from our pupils that is normally only reserved for those schools in wealthy areas. I hope the admins on this site grow some and ban you or at least serve you with an infraction for your comments above, they are disgusting.

Yep, and I know what angle you're going for here DD: You're going to question how it is possible for me to keep politics out of the classroom whilst being a member of a political organisation? Well, the answer is quite simple... Teaching what UAF stands for isn't on the syllabus/national curriculum; how the British Empire impoverished certain parts of the world and how Hitler peddled antisemitism, social darwinism and racism however, is.
-
I added "Anyway, that is not what the original OP was about". You need to get a grip mate, you're a joke.
-
I think you've had too many Sunday ciders hamster, is it even worth my while replying?
-
Do not try and tell me how to do my job mate, my school is in the top 15% of schools in the UK, our A*-C grades including English and Maths are at 62%. I know exactly how to teach and get the best out of my pupils thank you very much. Anyway, this isn't what the OP was about.
-
You evidently didn't have the greatest of teachers based on this post... Anyway... Personally, I do not let my political leanings interfere with my teaching. Politics has no place in the classroom IMO, however being a history teacher, my students are taught about the dangers and evils of fascism/empire/racism anyway. I think it is rich that you even dare to blame us for how these mongs have turned out as by the time the majority of pupils reach secondary school their view on the world has already been shaped by their parents and it is something we cannot change. I, for example, had to deal with a pupil the other day who was chanting "BNP, BNP, BNP" down the corridor. When I informed his parents, they were not concerned in the slightest. I think that it is obvious that this child has been exposed to extreme right wing views in the home and how are we to counter this?
-
LOL, fail.
-
Maybe they were using the same petition that the Chartists used?
-
This lot are simply misunderstood Bexy, everyone knows that!
-
I think a home tie is key if we're to make it to the 6th round, but I'll be honest, I'm just happy we've made it this far. Anything else will be a bonus!
