  1. Going into MLG mode but Ralph didn’t make the dig on MOTD, Line-acre (to use the Channon pronunciation) quoted it from another article reported.
  2. Can’t see it, as someone else said RH would be head coach and no influence over the club’s strategy as he has with us. Not sure of the strength of the relationship between the two despite this article. https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/ralf-rangnick-ralph-hasenhuttl-leipzig-bundesliga-southampton-b2013577.html?amp
  3. In addition to the question of where to seat the away support the club should also look into the sales and distribution of tickets within home sections. There was a large group of Coventry supporters in the Itchen yesterday clearly visible when they scored. I know you’ll always find a few local Utd or Liverpool day trippers finding tickets but this was Coventry !! Hope the same doesn’t happen with West Ham (who probably won’t conduct themselves in the same manner that most Cov fans would).
  4. No I’m sure it isn’t but I used to have a lot more confidence in the draw being above question when it was from Lancaster Gate (on radio) and you’d be told of the blazers completing the draw “ Dr Lionel Smart will draw the home teams and …,”. Unfortunately in the age of ‘celebrity’ they must have a recognised face doing it for the cameras. Seem to remember that such upstanding pillars of the game such as Terry Venables and ‘Arry helping make the draw in previous years.
  5. That is probably the most flexible game and one I’d imagine they’d look to move (unless it is sold for live tv coverage somewhere else in the globe) if need be.
  6. Would rather AFCB face "Frank Lampard's Dugout Pioneers' though.
  7. Has to be strongest team for this,
  8. Suspect the rozzers are already calculating their overtime payments for this one. 5,000 West Ham fans in town. And don’t forget the 10-15,000 skates fans who’ll just turn up for a punch up
  9. Must be due to beat them at home soon
  10. We’ll never know what would have happened had the ref started making his way back to the centre circle, oblivious to the offside. Perhaps rather naively I would have hoped the linesman raises his flag to draw the refs attention to it, not wait for the refs permission to ‘speak’. Without that, I wonder if he’d have ‘bottled it’.
  11. Think the FA Cup tie I’m referring to was late 1980’s, 88 at a guess. From recollection they still had a ban on away fans in the league but had to lift it for the cup. The ground really was in backstreet Shitsville.
  12. First thing I noticed was that the linesman stood rooted to the spot which indicated an infringement. Only doubt was why he hadn’t raised his flag. Was he waiting on the ref to make the decision for him ?
  13. That and the c^nt Steve Forster with his headband bring back memories of another Saints collapse in the Cup. Coins flying between fans. Shithouse of a ground, area and team.
  14. Is it definitely midweek again this season ?
  15. That would be our sort of luck.
  16. Have to wonder if Forster or McCarthy would have charged over to the linesman to confront him about the offside decision. Assuming either would have kept out the shots in quick succession in the first place. Perhaps Willy should also be in charge of specialist training for 'influencing the refs and linesmen', something which normally I don't like to see, but others - especially at the top of the table - have perfected the art over many years.
  17. Just be thankful its not v the skates, and TCWTB pissing on it
  18. Anyone parked at Centurion Business Park recently ?
  19. Think the same could be said of Rupert, the Head Helmet at the time. Bringing Sir Clive and some of his ideas in wasn't as bizarre as it seemed at the time, but the timing of it after relegation when we could ill afford it, and trying to marry 'new' sports science with 'Arry was never going to work.
  20. I've read of Etienne Green previously in an earlier window. Sounds a promising keeper but I'd be hopeful that whoever we sign as GK is ready for the first team not a 'prospect' or 'one for the future'. We tried that with Gunn and ended up with McCarthy and FF retaining the position.
  21. He still had to score them though, and they all count, to be fair (to use in the in vogue phrase).
  22. I semi recognised that name but couldn't place it. Quick google and saw it - The Bevois Castle as was. When did it change name ?
  23. That links to a Twitter page of Simon Darcy Clifford. No wonder he got on well with Rupert. Would have had the piss taken out of him a lot more if his full name had been known.
  24. Lampard ..... flash London geezer arrives at his new club and spends millions as soon as he can. Must have borrowed a template on 'The Art of Management , F'sure ' from someone in his family.
  25. Quite a remarkable fall from great heights a few seasons ago when he was talked of as a world beater in the making, and £80-90m figures in the media bandied about with top European clubs looking at him. Now Levy doesn't even want a fee, but just wants him off the payroll.
