Another area Brits can excel at in the next Olympics

Probably right re having a better GK for the season as it would have spread confidence through the team. But I don’t recall GK being a particular weakness that season - perhaps I’ve been conditioned by a few seasons of Bazunu -and it was a long time ago. Katalinic for example played out of his skin at Anfield. My recollection is that out transfer focus was strikers, (especially with KK injury concerns).Hence the Trevor Francis link, and deadline day signing of Keith Cassells. Wright coming as well of course.

Fucking mongtastic. Can't wait.

Not in Skatesmouth. Good naval tradition and all that.
-
How many Gk's do they need ??/ Although that wouldn't stop them making yet another signing. Then sending him to Strasbourg
-
Is that after the relegation clause ?

Read your post and it dawned on me why this doesn’t feel like a real World Cup; we’ve not had the official song yet. From the first WC I remember we had ‘Back Home’ and it’s got progressively worse since. Your post has answered it. So it won’t feel ‘proper’ until I see the squad on a TOTP equivalent singing “ John Kettley is a football man, and so is Michael Fish”. (Both could be in the squad as far as I’m concerned- if still alive - more likeable than some of the cunts).

Haven’t we been here before ? I wouldn’t want to rely on those two. Even allowing for Tonda’s coaching and man management skills I’m not sure - even if he’s here - that polishing those turds are within his miraculous skillset.

Isn’t he a constant injury though ?

Spy-gate\Cheating Response Songs for next season...

Rework the Gene Pitney Tulsa song; ”only, 72 hours to kick off …” Yes, I’m an old bastard -
Spy-gate\Cheating Response Songs for next season...
Badger replied to Dan Johnson's topic in The Saints
Driving around the other day and had part of a Rod Stewart song in my ear. Lyrics “we’re in your hedge, we’re in your trees …” Will allow other songsmiths to make it work. -
wasn’t there a chemicals plant up there at one time, was it ICI at Billingham ? Just to go with colinjb’s old steel works. Plus the transporter bridge. Limitless opportunities missed by P&O.

I was fortunate to see two of his greatest moments with us. His overhead v Man Utd, and then scoring the goal away at Middlesbrough for us to go top for the first time in our history. Such a shame it ended as it did. Just wonder how things might have panned out had Laurie brought Trevor Francis in when we were going for the league. It was four years by the way from the FA Cup (1976) to KK signing (1980). What a time to be a Saints fan.
-
Hope he fully recovers. Great memories. One of the greatest days supporting Saints, the day KK signed. Up there with winning the FA Cup in the memories. Difference for me though is that we may win the FA Cup again in my lifetime. Signing the European Player of the Year and the most sought after player on the continent won’t happen again. What an incredible feat by Laurie and the club. Still doesn’t feel possible.
-
They might have sought to walk away from it after our bad publicity so news that they’re continuing shouldn’t be seen as ‘well they were contracted for another couple of years anyway”. It’s good news

Means P&O won't be offering the luxury cruises to Redcar this year then. That's a shame

Mention of Mourinho (not aware of anything to do with Schneiderlin, but remember the Dr), and Ferguson. You can add Clough to that list as well, some players now would be traumatised by him. Great story on Youtube how he gave one player the nickname 'shithouse', and saw him at the local park whilst he (Clough) was walking his dog. Player (might have been Crossley) said he just heard Clough from the other side of the park yelling " hey shithouse .., alright son ?'
-
Just added to it for you.
-
Springbank ? Not sure how far you’re extending that area, but there are worse here surely ? (PE Way, if you’re including that perhaps and Whaddon near the football ground among others). Not sure I’d say worse than some in Gloucester though Certainly doesn’t detract from your overall point about Lowe though.

From the footage and description of events it seems the Police have changed from accusations of being ‘institutionally racist’ , to being ‘institutionally woke’ .
-
Draw the line at the shaved head, too much wannabee Pep about it for me, but the cat is definitely a good option.
-
Agree, but let's not get ahead of ourselves, today is really a statement of intent. With the FA still to have their say I don't think we're out of the woods yet.

Larin and Stewart were tremendous for us on the second half of the season but always felt either might be an injury away from derailing the attacking options. I’d like another CF we can rely on for a full season. But not Downes. Archer, despite having two good games at the end of the season doesn’t fill me with confidence.

Bit unfair. I think he provides a good summary of talking points which is useful for us exiles to catch up on. I don’t have to agree with all the views he presents to appreciate what he’s trying to do. Yes, there’s inevitably some ‘look at me..’ involved, he wouldn’t do it otherwise but comes across as inoffensive and not a bellend like some vloggers, podcasters, or whatever they call themselves.

Is that right ? Didn’t realise their collapse was so dramatic. I did look a couple of things up before the first SF though. At the time of Hellbergs appointment they were third, joint on points with second placed Stoke but lower on GD. And when they played at Coventry (in February from memory) they were top, but overtaken by Coventry after losing. No wonder Hellberg wants to deflect attention from the end of their season.
