So perhaps he’ll stay longer than Wilcox. So that’s two days after Easter before he announces he’s off.

Have to ask what is “ disappointing” about his time with Hamburg. Not getting game time? Then perhaps. But if ‘disappointing’ due to form then it doesn’t seem such an attractive option ( ‘the Israeli Baz’ perhaps).

They don’t make pitches like they used to. It was a real test in those days throwing up something different through the season. An ice rink at times in winter, and a mud bath in spring , threadbare for the last month or so. Not a bloody bowling green designed for knee slides !
-
First question, what possessed you to select the ginger twat in the first place, then keep the fucker for a month too long ?

For a club that is meant to use and pride itself on stats and analysis it’s unbelievable they can’t see what is clear to everyone else and their dog: Bazunu is crap.

Norwich City v Saints, 12.30pm Saturday 13.12.2025

Wasn’t that Danny Wallace’s last game for Saints ? -
There’s no immediate name I’d go for or put forward. With his recent other successes hope Spors/ Lederer have their eye on one (but of Scienza standard not Downs) In terms of profile, we might look at a player seeking more exposure or opportunity (such as a Delap who went to Hull) as loan or longer term signing. AA may not be available every game and opportunities are likely to be there. The availability or identity of another option doesn’t alter the limitations of those currently available. I’d agree with you re Stewart, but we are in the realms of David Connolly again “ would be ….. if he didn’t spend so much time in the treatment room”
-
You don’t give up banging this drum do you ? Based on his time with us to date, Archer seems a waste of money and space. Irrespective of what he did some years ago elsewhere. And Stewart in case you hadn’t realised is perpetually injured.
-
Perhaps he’ll now be linked with Frankfurt instead

Artists you should (apparently) like but don't

Queen ( I liked Killer Queen on hearing it in 1974 but little after it, as spectacular as Bohemian Rhapsody was). Adele - everything sounds like a funeral dirge(The last three Bond themes have been a race to the bottom) Ed Sheeran- talented writer he might be, but can’t stand his voice. Or him being a ginger gimp. Plus can’t stand his team. Rolling Stones - some good singles once upon a time, but generally shit (I was a Beatles fan in 60’s) -
Fine, depending on kick off time

Get with it Gloucester. All aboard the Tonda Express, full steam ahead, stopping nowhere …. Promotion, FA Cup …. It’s in the stars*. That and skates and Bath Rugby falling off the face of the earth… *not saying we’ll manage either but it’s probably in the stars somewhere if you know where to look.

Quite happy with that draw. New ground. Just watch the cunts move it to Monday night or something ridiculous
-
Just a publicity shot for TCWAB to gormlessly shake his bell 🛎 end on national tv when they’re losing 4-0
-
It does in name and memory only. Probably will give a couple of headline David v Goliath ties but the draw is worth missing to avoid seeing old players gurning like imbeciles as they pull the numbers out. Monday lunchtime, behind closed doors, no fawning of ex-players. Job done. Part of the magic was how radios were smuggled into places to hear the draw.

Thought the same, although might have been wishful thinking that he might not be available for three games. Reminded me a bit of the lunging tackle by Djenepo (?) v Newcastle shortly before lockdown. Looked 50:50 at the match but definitely ‘studs first’ when seeing it back. Perhaps Aribo is fortunate the ref didn’t get called to a screen to watch it again. But - didn’t seem to be too much outrage from Birm.
-
Have wondered if the appointment of Tonda, who Spors had brought to the club, and is said to have wanted his appointment, shows a bit of shift or endorsement of his position in the pecking order/power struggle. May of course be conspiracy bollocks, so pure speculation. Hoping that with his key man in place it will see him commit for a couple of seasons. We can’t continue the revolving door for key posts
-
How would he fit in with Tondas style ? Think we’re playing with a bit more energy than when he was last here.
-
That Pele bloke, all well and good, but he’s got to master the defensive side of his game and track back more … summary borrowed from I. Branfoot
-
Agree with this, but problem is that we effectively take off the players who look to move the ball forward and our attacking threat has gone. We end up camped in our own half. I don’t think Aribo and Romeu offered anything going forward in their time on the pitch. Robinson and Archer were a pale imitation of Scienza and AA. Robinson seemed to try and take on one player too many or run himself into trouble. You and I have covered our differing views on Archer on his own thread so won’t dwell on it here, but to his credit he did seem to stretch Birm with his pace (but it petered out with his finishing). Hoping Tonda might have better options once injuries clear, and possibly in January window.
-
Should he ?? As I saw it on their video the ref let the play flow, the fouled player passed or released the ball to a teammate - at this point he’d played the advantage - but the player receiving the ball was then tackled. Should he stop the game at this point, and call it back for their free kick, or is it a second or separate phase of the game ? Perhaps the Brum fans think he should have played on, but then brought it back for their free kick if they didn’t eventually score from it.
-
Agree with you totally we just allow the opponents to take the initiative and come on to us. The MF seem to retreat and we have taken off the main attacking outlets (although we did still create a couple of breakaway chances to put the game to bed). Credit to the defence though there was no shortage of blocks going in and throwing bodies in front of shots. May not seem a lot, but much improved over the last couple of years.

Okay, let’s revisit this one in a few months.

Gets my vote. But please don’t lose.

Last league game at Goodison, first FA Cup tie at Hill Dickinson perhaps
