Bit of a “playing all the right notes, but not necessarily in the right order” sort of post.
-
Similar to Lambert, a proven goal scorer over several seasons, often in struggling sides. And his manager knew him from a previous club. Quite different from a few goals whilst on loan.
-
He'd had a few seasons of demonstrating his goal scoring pedigree though, not a season on loan with only a handful of goals.
-
Wasn't James Hokery the clown that also linked Fellows with a move to West Brom ?
-
Be dancing with tears in his eyes scoring the last minute winner in the Play Off Final.....
-
Few cliches: "working quietly ..." ... "behind closed doors" etc
-
No - shit, no. Typing error, and not re-reading.
-
Not if it were only a loan. But agree, would prefer he went to Germany or Holland. On balance though I'd be inclined to keep him.
-
£9M was the figure in the media. Looks like a good buy at that price, although has only done it for it seems half a season in Sweden. But prefer him to Jebbison.
-
Possibly a clever ruse by the marketing people would be to release this yellow and blue away strip for the Women’s team. Wonder how many blokes might buy it in preference to the blue wavy pattern monstrosity
-
Perhaps they’re hoping nobody notices it
-
That seems too much to me unless of course including a major add on after promotion. Can’t see us spending that on a striker to be honest.
-
Ridiculous solid back again. I wouldn’t be against the design for an away kit (depending on the colours), but prefer the home strip to be more conventional, whether that’s stripes, sash, Keegan era, red/white halves.
-
Pedantic perhaps - but navy blue and sky please, not the skates shade
-
Seaside B&B clearly. But him going to Torino might make Che surplus. We could do with some of his scuffs, and goal line misses. Unfinished business and all that.
-
I give up. Please name him.
-
Could be a good move
-
Just got to get the replacement right. Would have preferred to have kept him, but think we all expected him to leave.
-
I’ve not even seen any speculation on it. Only a mention on here that he’s linked with moving somewhere abroad ( Portugal I think) and they want Stewart as his replacement
-
If he’s not interested in signing a new contract then it seems a reasonable decision to let him leave now for a better fee. To some extent it’s forced, not a case of him slipping the net. We should look to maximise the sell on. I’ve been disappointed with the % talked of, 15% for Fernandes seems poor on our part. We were told we had a big or good % on Ballard, report yesterday was less than 20%.
-
This was considered too skates like at the time. The Dimplex Pony strip scores on the nostalgia front due to the MLT performances in it
-
Top work. Not convinced by the navy shorts but am aware some on here have an appetite for the change. Aways - yellow and blue is smart ( but done to death in my view). The Keegan era navy/sky is the proverbial dogs bollocks though. As ever some better designs by fans than Puma and the club come up with
-
Perhaps they keep it secret to avoid the inevitable media scrum with all its noise (seeking to influence the outcome?). Personally I’d rather they keep it private for the time being, as frustrating as it seems.

Might depend if we’ve lodged an appeal don’t forget. If we have then there may be a prescribed period for the FA to review it. The EFL decision and appeal was done with the Saturday fixture in mind so accelerated. But of course it was all about the integrity of the game, not the commercial side of it and millions riding on the match taking place.
-
Several articles and reports indicate he’s done well on the commercial side of things. That should possibly have remained his remit. But heading up a football club operation is a step beyond that.
