Not sure we can recall a season long loan without Derby’s agreement. Shouldn’t be any such problem for Downes, where Hamburg have already seen enough
-
After his time at Rangers I was expecting he might offer us something. But no. I think his running style didn’t help fans perception of him. He always looked as if he was the player that was trying to keep going in the 97th minute. Trouble was that was his style from kick off. Agree with you, won’t be missed.

Typifies something wrong in the game. Player with potential, makes big money signing for Chelsea, but only plays handful of games before being shunted out on loan, eventually to one of their own clubs (Strasbourg).

2,500 nods following their noddy club. But always felt they were a bit of a bogey club for us down the years.

Had a quick look on the Leicester forum for comments about Aribo. Found this gem about their manager search:

Bollocks ! Thought too good to be true. And it was.
-
£15m !!!! Hope it’s not tied up in add-ons
-
Why ? Any idea if not offered the role at Leicester, or declined it?
-
Thanks, that was the name I was thinking of. I don’t think he’s actually gone there as yet having googled him.
-
Isn’t Aribo out of contract at the end of the season. If so, this could be the last we see of him.
-
As we should have done.
-
Thanks, there has been another link more recently as well to go in as a Spors type role.
-
Change a few names and tgat could easily be lifted from this forum. Football fans and manic depressives, one of the same depending on the club’s ownership

Reference taking our Head of Recruitment. Is that the bloke who was recently linked to them ?

Sholing v Gloucester - Saturday 3pm + Saints on TV & Beer offer
Badger replied to Sholing FC's topic in The Saints
Just read that Gloucester won 2-1, last minute penalty. Good result. Saints winning makes it a good day, anything else is a bonus but shame about skates and Cheltenham results. Hope ‘Glawster’ progress in the rugby tomorrow. -
Making changes during the game when we need them is one of the critical things to see over the remaining season. Allowing for what he has at his disposal of course, as of Monday pm he might not have a second striker to call on.
-
Interesting points raised but: was the back 3/5 his decision or something imposed on him, and for whatever reason the shackles have been lifted ? Have to see what happens rest of season, although we might never know Recruitment - same can be said for Ralph and Still. It seems only Martin was allowed to indulge in bringing his preferred players in. GK - much improved, but too soon to judge if we have settled the position yet. CF - still hoping

Someone mentioned it was Tonda’s birthday today. So it’s a happy birthday for him with three points in the bag. Well done Tonda, enjoy your day. Now having read about the lavish expenditure SR go in for at Valenciennes I hope they’ve got private jets and a decent piss up arranged for Tonda.Ideally he’ll get pissed and give Rasmus a kick in the nuts from the fans before heading home.

Perhaps it's a 'knock' on the door from Wrexham or Middlesbrough..
-
Don’t disagree with you but: Was Still an Ankerson or Spors selection? In truth we don’t know. Has RA’s style to it, but Spors will take the blame. Solak putsch. Wasn’t that meant to be last year and summer? RA being sidelined to Goztepe etc.

Yet again you wonder, how did Dragan make such a success in his business, if he allows a situation where those at the top act recklessly ? As well as being incompetent, time after time. Staggering.
-
Just a thought - but they might prefer him going abroad so he can’t put in some stellar displays in our league, leading to inevitable questions as to why we didn’t make use of the player ? Protecting the ego is all important on Planet Rasmus.
-
Difference perhaps is that we’re happy to sell, rather than just a loan
-
Probably wishful thinking …
