I suspect this is the mindset of Spors and co as well, just defer the decision ( kicking the can down the road, the popular cliche from a couple of years ago). But it’ll be another three games, next international break, Christmas, new year, give him the January window … let his players bed in… poor results and he might go in Match, otherwise just muddle on and season over. Very little if anything has been shown to date that he’ll turn it round.

I’d actually give him some credit for not making selections based on the price tag. But he should be getting more out of them, Fellows should be a starter in my view. Azaz hasn’t really found his feet here, is that down to him, those around him or the manager ? Agree that he seems out of his depth though.

This is the worry with SR. Could we appoint a better option, yes, but trusting Spors & Co to do so is another matter. No doubt they’re scouring League 1 for an upcoming manager who they think can be fast tracked into the Championship.

Todays failings are on the piss poor recruitment of a striker. Not Still. I’m not a fan of 5 at the back, but even so it didn’t stifle us and we created chances. Far from convinced by Still being right to take us foward but I certainly don’t pin today on him.

I haven’t trawled back through the thread but expected some “ on another day.. “ type posts. Trouble is though, this is rather fanciful stuff given our experiences. Today isn’t really a one off when we didn’t get the rub of the green. We missed several chances, that’s not bad luck today, it’s what we do. Regularly. We spurn chances. In fact we’re rather good at it. If you want an “on another day” to mull over, the more likely one is that after we’ve ballsed up chance after chance, Swansea go down the other end and sneak one in the 87th minute.

Agree with Macca above about the strikers. Shocking ineptitude not reinforcing here. But some posters told us our strikers were adequate for the Championship. Delgado was a signing nobody would admit they wanted, he arrived I think around the same time as WGS who said the deal was done ahead of him.Lowe said it was the ex-manager, who later denied that. Who takes the blame for Stewart ? Mowbray had barely started, so is it Wilcox, Lego ? ( Not sure I’d pin it on Martin even though he did later talk the player up as to how he wanted him at Swansea or MK)
