And yet you want to. Respect your view, and willingness to give the bloke a bit more time, but don’t share the view or logic of it. Have to agree to disagree ( without resorting to insults !!! )

So you accept the manager has the team underperforming? Why is that ? Similarity to me, is that in both seasons we have a manager who isn’t cutting it, and unlikely to turn things round. Meanwhile the board overlook the obvious and sleepwalk whilst our decline continues.
  3. But it looked as if he was asked to play as a DM on Saturday at Blackburn.

If I’d been running the club he wouldn’t be here in the first place. Give him the next three games ? Fucking ridiculous. As someone else pointed out, this is reminiscent of Lego last season, giving him more games to show what we already knew - he wasn’t up to the job. Can add Pelligrino to the same list, didn’t that go on to February or March ? .But I suspect this is nearer the club’s stance.
  5. Yes, good memory!

Even after Hull possibly , and definitely after Derby in my book.
  7. I don’t think Sturrock was as bad as many now want us to believe. One thing that is forgotten is that he had us winning away from home and scoring goals in the process. Wasn’t it 3-1 at Man City, and 4-1 win at Wolves. He may not have been popular in the dressing room, but I’d be happy with some of those results now.

Why wasn't this sort of 'issue' obvious to the fucktards who run the club before making the appointment ? It defies belief. (Although sometimes £££ can help overcome the decision making)
  9. I didn't realise the turnover of managers was so bad. In context Ted Bates and Lawrie managed for 30 years between them. Chris Nicholl was here for 6 or 7. Saints were once regraded as a stable club, a "non-sacking club" was a phrase often used. Read an article yesterday saying Celtic have only had 20 managers in their entire history !
  10. As the original club , Askham/Lawrie as DOF : Branfoot, Ball, Merrington, Sounness (4) Lowe era ; Dave Jones, Hoddle, Gray, Strachan, Sturrock, Wigley (?), 'Arry (7) Premier League only so not including EFL years. Lienherr/Gao : Adkins, Poch, Koeman, Puel, Pelligrino, Hughes, Ralph (7) SR: Nathan Jones, Selles (?), Lego, Juric , Rusk (?) (5) That's 23 by my counting. Question if Wigley, Selles or Rusk should be included, the last two were temporary although 'to end of season' .

I think Spertsyan was our first choice, or so it would seem. I wonder if we hadn't spent the summer chasing his shadow and being pissed about by either his agent or club, we might have been successful in our Rudoni bid.

I think he probably is a Rasmus type as well ticking some of the hipster boxes. But no thanks, a bit of a Martin type, and failed to make play offs with a decent Hull squad.

Yes it is pretty bitter isn’t it ? Could have condensed it: Brendan Rodgers has resigned. We’d like to place on record our thanks for his successes here. But all in all we think he’s a bit of a cunt
  14. Don’t be daft. He won’t be attainable for us,and SR won’t be interested as he knows more about football than Rasmus ever will. And that would never do.
  15. Seem to remember we divebombed for a few games when Burley came in (after the thought we’d made a master signing). But credit where it’s due we had an 89 minute new manager bounce with ‘Arry. Shame it went down the pan between then and the 91st minute or whatever it was. And then for a few weeks after.

Bizarre the way he and Edozie have remained at the club, possibly against their wishes, and have been frozen out. Edozie does have more competition but you’d have thought he may have had a place on the bench from time to time. Aribo, surely in contention.
  17. His career is on an upward trajectory it seems. I bet I know how he could derail it.
  18. Fair comments from him. I thought Blackburn looked hopeless in the first half, but without taking our chances, they realised just how crap we were and grew into the game.
  19. Sounds as if he knows how to pick up a penguin.
  20. Not sure what we look for on the CV for a Sporting Director. Wonder if our search is based solely on football related matters and experience. Perhaps this is too narrow and we should widen the criteria. Aberdeen are showing the way to this less blinkered approach.
  21. Are Ankersen or Spors sat in the stands ?
  22. Asked a Wolves fan about him, and comment was he gave them a new manager bounce, but wasn't good after. very open at the back, and conceded plenty. His conclusion - avoid.
  23. Agree. We can appeal all we like but I can't see them extending it beyond three games.

Someone made a comment on here some weeks ago from what he's seen at St Mary's that he doesn't seem to spend any time speaking with the other coaches on touchline. He appeared a bit isolated on Saturday in his Technical Area. Perhaps he lacks the support of those he's worked with previously. Always seemed strange that he arrived without an assistant or others as his back up.
  25. Would have expected them to be more ambitious with their new found wealth. I’m not sure of the depth of feeling in the West Midlands, but would Brum be any happier with a Wolves cast off, than we are given his skate links?
