Terribly sorry, old bean. It's just the same tiresome roundabout of idiocy from the usual suspects. It made me irreverant.

    Victim of a good stuffing.
  3. I have full confidence in the FA, the dynamic and professional guardian of the game in this country, to deliver measures to rejuvenate our domestic league, should this happen.
  4. Out of interest, how did you compile that "big 5" list?

Seems to me, the settlement agreement incorporating a confidentiality / non-disclosure obligation (because that's actually what these are - a pure NDA doesn't involve the payment of cash to settle a claim) is the only alternative to forcing victims to seek redress publicly through the courts or via a criminal complaint (assuming it's criminal activity that is alleged). If you ban "NDA" element of a settlement agreement then that leaves the following: - you agree a settlement anyway but either side is free to make the details public. I'm not sure what incentive there is for the alleged perpetrator to settle a civil claim in those circumstances, particularly where there is a big imbalance in power and wealth. They would be more likely to try to bully the claimant into silence via an expensive legal process. - you effectively make it impossible for claims to be settled, meaning that every victim is forced to go through a full legal process, even if they would rather take some money and keep it quiet. Don't forget, in this case, people are alleged to have received a million pounds or more. Inadequate compensation for a sexual violation, perhaps, but not a bad deal for a bit of inappropriate non-criminal behaviour. Would all those claimants have felt empowered enough to go through formal legal proceedings against a billionaire? Would they have had adequate evidence to go to the police and get a prosecution of it was criminal conduct? I doubt it.
  6. If Gao died we wouldn't need more than a post-it note of condolence, never mind a book. I know that sounds harsh but, honestly, would anyone feel personally affected the way they did when Markus died?
  7. P.s. I also think it may be possible to stay up with as little as 31 or 32 points.
  8. Yes, it's looking like 3 from those 5. I would say Cardiff and Huddersfield are virtual certainties, so it's then 1 from 3. If you had to pick an outside bet then as you say it would be Palace or Burnley, but I can't see it. I'll stick my neck out and say the third team will be Newcastle.
  9. 5 in 41, I think.
  10. Thieves!
  11. I was in The Archers that evening. Bizarre.
  12. Yes, he was. Despite playing at left back he was often the man of the match and the most dangerous player on the pitch. People who know their football could see he would be an elite player, same as when Mane joined. I don't think you have to pick him as a left back in this scenario, though.
  13. Pick one of our good centre backs: I'd go for prime Svennson. Didn't leave under a cloud, great organiser and good for a few goals a season. Then pick some entertainers up front. If we're talking players in their prime then you have to pick Matt Le Tiss. You also have to pick a centre forward to you probably go Keegan or Beattie. Both of those in their prime were far superior to Lambert. Then you pick Bale, Wallace, Pahars etc. as you choose. I wasn't old enough to see Keegan play for us, so my team would be: McCarthy Cedric Svennson Yoshida Bertrand Lemina Hojbjerg Bale LeTiss Redmond (lolz) Beattie

    Hughes OUT

He's doing what they want, in terms of going along with the strategy but within those parameters you can still make mistakes. Our player recruitment has been largely awful for the last 2 or 3 seasons. I don't think Wee Ross and Les would have survived at many clubs.
  15. It wasn't exactly hard-core super slander.

    Hughes OUT

I think they have significantly more money than Kat and more business experience so I would imagine they'll crack-on.
  18. Confidence and composure, isn't it. That's exactly the sort of scenario Sterling would have messed up a few years ago.
  19. Spurs are a joke. Can't believe no sanction for their lack of home ground shenanigans. That pitch is pathetic and they've caused issues for all sorts of traveling fans. Bunch of ****s.
  20. I think it's odd that Forster hasn't even been on the bench for league cup games. Something behind the scenes? The Yoshi thing smacks of us trying to force him into accepting a move before his sale value is negligible. Davis, I get your point, but he doesn't really fit Hughes' cuttong-edge 442 philosophy and he was cack last season.
  21. Yep, he'd be well worth it but I fear he's not #thesouthamptonway
  22. So, to paraphrase, "I dunno".
  23. They weren't geniuses though, they were wrong. What's your view?
