  1. Sorry, can you reconcile the two bold bits for me please?
  2. He is correct with his central tenet which is that protests like the recent one in London are impotent and really rather pathetic and become the plaything of disgusting unwashed knobbers. He is right that the form of protest he advocates could have far greater impact. But it's a **** idea.
  3. Don't know.
  4. It is a good achievement, yes. The bottom of the league position was clearly false. He's taken them from being one of the best teams outside the top 4 to finishing 4th.
  5. Indeed. Which was a decent achievement (although I think the Premier League is presently weaker than it has ever been). Leeds managed that too though and it did them no favours in the long-run. I'm sure Spurs are better run than that but if they fail to keep progressing it won't be long before Redknapp starts moaning that he can't sign the right players. I see he's started talking up their title prospects suddenly; presumably because he'd been told he couldn't "wheel and deal" in January.
  6. The point is not that you might recoup some money further down the line, it's that he constantly demands a rapid turnover of players which can have serious cash implications in the here-and-now. Why does he do this, or rather why has he done this? Hmmm.... The guy is obviously capable of doing a good job if you are prepared to adapt to his methods. How far those methods are capable of taking you is still a moot point. And he might be a criminal.
  7. To be honest, if you are seriously moaning about this, you may be a ****.
  8. Nah, thia is just PR ******** and where iz da signing s and why aint Lawrie Mac and LT bigging him up and why can;t my kid have a free Xmas present?! FFS!!
  9. Let's not kid ourselves. If Saints had been in a similar situation we would, mostly, have enjoyed the ride. However, I would like to think that we would also act with some humility and recognise that the victories might have been hollow ones. Take CH, for example. He comes on and writes posts alledging all sorts of illegality on the part of people involved in Portsmouth but yet maintains his smug facade around the cup win, even though it is obvious that it was built upon taking out liabilities that could never realistically be serviced for whatever motive the then owner had in mind.
  10. Exactly, with the addition that they then bent the rules to suit Portsmouth when it became widespread public knowledge that they were completely insolvent. The FA also need to ask themselves why they did not throw them out of the FA Cup.
  11. Basically, this thread bears out that what he says is manifestly right. A lot of people are better off and some aren't. He may have been silly to say it but that's probably more of an indictment on the hysterical left wing BBC than anything else.
  12. You are a plum. Plum.
  13. Exactly. Dinlos of this thread, take note.
  14. Yeah, Iwan Thomas won't know squat about Southampton's community, what with him having lived there for ages and all that. As for Z list, he achieved a hell of a lot more in his sport than MLT ever did. What a plum.
  15. Yeah, someone like Sol Campbell. It's bound to be a good idea.
  16. My guess is "poo". I'm a bit naive though and I don't know what a handjob is. In fact, the other day, the lads in the pub were saying how good a blowjob is. Being naive I didn't know what that is either so I just agreed so as not to look daft. Later on, at home, I asked a girl I met if she knew what it was, "Do you know what a blowjob is?". She got up and stormed out of the room. This was upsetting as she was sucking my cock at the time.
  17. She's going to be seriously annoyed when she finds out!
  18. A family are driving behind a rubbish truck when a dildo flies out and thumps against their windscreen. Embarrassed, and to spare her son's innocence, the mother turns round and says, "oh, don't worry it was just an insect". To which, her son replies, "I'm surprised it could get off the ground with a cock like that". Women drivers, eh?!

Well, that was a very clever move from the FA actually. You just wait. One day the genius of that move will become clear to all.
  20. Had the same problem today. Stupid ****s.
  21. Peter Storrie: contracts expert and Saints legend.
  22. Her and her mother have to be two of the most dislikeable women we have the misfortune of having to endure on the telly.
  23. Yeah. People slagged his distribution last season but he was only doing what Pardew asked him to do and his kicks are usually very accurate. I think the problem he has is when he has to think too much. If things get complicated he seems prone to errors of judgment. This has been manifested a couple of times this season when he has tried to play short passes when he should have just hoofed it.
