The time to address that disappointment was when Pardew messed up the start of the season and when we had a bad spell in between managers. Er, but it can and has been for much of the season. If we beat Swindon we will have taken 11 points from 5 matches in February = 2.2 points per game = league winning level.

Sounded like one of our better players last night from the Solent commentary. I think his quieter form has coincided to an extent with us playing the diamond/4-1-3-2/whatever you want to call it. Whilst the "hole" might have been his favoured position in Italy, I actually think he is more effective as a centre forward in this league.
