  1. Verbal Your right on one thing nothing is ever what it seems. lots of things are covered up for one reason or another. I find it odd that only one person is charged and convicted of the lockerbie bomb. There were others involved, maybe they have mysteriously disappeared. Did not israeli agents not seek retribution for the massacre of the israeli athletes at the german olympicss I recall when I was based out in Oman we had a soldier who got shot up and died of his wounds. It was reported publicly back in the uk that he had died because of a road accident. The MOD and the UK media were correct that he had died but the cause was so far from the truth Middle eastern politics has so many twists and turns Its been a while since I served out there but even then it was interesting to see what was going on.
  2. Come Come Verbal re the following "For more than twenty years now, a good friend of mine, a journalist, has made regular visits to a certain inmate in one of our jails. That inmate was the sole survivor among the attackers of the Iranian Embassy in London - the one the SAS famously recaptured, live on television. (In fact, his life was saved by the hostages - the SAS were clearly on a wipe-out mission.) Everyone has assumed what the motives of the attackers were. But all those assumptions are wrong. When my friend's work is made public, you'll see what I mean... I'm sorry I can't say more, but what I would say is that if we make pat assumptions about Middle East politics and terror, we're likely to end up looking a bit foolish. Sometimes, if we're interested in the truth, we have to look beyond the rage. I was under the impression that the individual you talk about mingled with the hostages in order to escape. I also think you are way off the mark stating the SAS were on a wipe out mission. I will ask an old mate of mine when I next see him (he was one of the medics supporting the SAS lads on that mission) if that was there intention.
  3. So thats Al Meggahi's game He gets a promise thats hes to be released on compassionate grounds, weeks in advance (The BBC new it was going to happen) Decides to drop his appeal to save the Scottish parliment oodles of cash in legals costs, goes home then gets the opportunity to protest his total innocence. "According to the news this morning, Mr Al Megrahi is preparing to release the new evidence which he was going to present at his appeal hearing, and that it will then be up to the people of the world to act as jury and decide whether or not he is guilty. It will be very interesting to see just what this evidence is". He was after all a libyan agent and was pasing ice cream to members of the public. Was Gadaffi ever convicted, were Martin Mcguiness and Gerry Adams and Paisley ever convicted of their muderous past . No So judging by your definition Bexy , they were also innocent of any form of terrorism.
  4. I think JP was also having a dig at Crouch and co as well not just lowe and wotte
  5. I also liked JP and the younsgters did play some superb football but were a bit niave. Who can forget the game at reading , we played them off the park and they were riding high in the league at the time.
  6. Bexy I would be interested in you views of Martin Mcguiness in the context of this statement you made "Does that sound like the words of a murdering terrorist to any of you? "
  7. smirking saint wrote What sort of show does this send out to the boys and girls in Iraq and Afghanistan if we are willing to let some c*nt go home who is a CONVICTED TERRORIST Its not the first time the uk has done this look at Martin Mcginness and Gery Adams even further back look at Mr Menachem Begin or archibishop Makarios. What ever the reason for the libyans release today , he should have been advised to say nothing. Clearly he shows no remorse to the victims whether he was involved or not. And now he has returned home to all but a heroes welcome.
  8. I hadnt realised that Phil. but as you have reminded me there are four pages, I will not exercise my keyboard skills looking for the other three pages. Its time to move on , The futures bright the futures red and white Oh and have we signed Skacel yet? or is that on another thread:cool:
  9. Verbal I doubt very much its JP speaking like that to a football mag. the second paragraph is particularly worrying , his comments re KD etc, slagging off lowe After all it was lowe that took him to SMS. Given lowes ability to sue people for slander etc and succeed then I would have thought JP would have been subject to a compromise agreement as part of his severence package. and certainly not spouting off the way he is. If it is JP then he is certainly acting like a spoil brat and will have done himself no favours in going back into football management.
  10. sound ike somebody has distorted the facts of what he actually said. Im not sure this is a factually correct article but altered by someone on here that despises lowe I was interested in this comment "The past few years there have been a lot of people in control and they still have influence in the current organisation. But than I see who posted this.none other than tic tacs mate Saint Stevo Heres a tip for you Mr I am the perfect saints fan (***t), Sant Stevo let it go mate we are in a new era now stop living inthe past FFS

  12. Four lawyers in a law firm lived and died for their Saturday morning round of golf. It was their favorite moment of the week. Then one of the lawyers was transferred to an office in another city. It wasn't quite the same without him. A new woman lawyer joined their law firm. One day she overheard the remaining three talking about their golf round in the break room. Curious, she spoke up, "You know, I used to play on my golf team in college and I was pretty good. Would you mind if I joined you next week?" The three lawyers looked at each other. They were hesitant. Not one of them wanted to say 'yes', but she had them on the spot. Finally one man said it would be okay, but they would be starting pretty early at 6:30 am. He figured the early Tee-Time would discourage her immediately. The woman said this might be a problem and asked if she could possibly be up to 15 minutes late. They rolled their eyes but said this would be okay. She smiled and said, "Good, then I'll be there either at 6:30 or 6:45." She showed up right at 6:30 and wound up beating all three of them with an eye-opening 2-under par round. She was a fun and pleasant person the entire round. The guys were impressed! Back in the clubhouse they congratulated her and happily invited her back the next week. She smiled and said "Sure, I'll be here at 6:30 or 6:45." The next week she again showed up at 6:30 Saturday morning. Only this time, she played left-handed. The three lawyers were incredulous as she still managed to beat them with an even par round despite playing with her off-hand. By now the guys were totally amazed, but wondered if she was just trying to make them look bad by beating them left-handed. They couldn't figure her out. She was again very pleasant and didn't seem to be showing them up, but each man began to harbor a burning desire to beat her In the third week they all had their game faces on. But this week she was 15 minutes late! This had the guys irritable because each was determined to play the best round of golf of his life to beat her. As they waited for her, they figured her late arrival was some petty gamesmanship on her part. Finally she showed up. This week the lady lawyer played right-handed, which was a good thing since she narrowly beat all three of them. However, she was so gracious and so complimentary of their strong play, it was hard to keep a grudge against her. This woman was a riddle no one could figure out! Back in the clubhouse she had all three guys shaking their heads at her ability. They had a couple of beers after their round which helped the conversation loosen up. Finally one of the men could contain his curiosity no longer He asked her point blank, "How do you decide if you're going to golf right-handed or left-handed? " The lady blushed and grinned. She said, "That's easy. When my dad taught me to play golf, I learned I was ambidextrous. I have always had fun switching back and forth. Then when I met my husband in college and got married, I discovered he always sleeps in the nude. From then on I developed a silly habit. Right before I left in the morning for golf practice, I would pull the covers off him. If his "you-know-what" was pointing to the right, I golfed right-handed and if it was pointed to the left, I golfed left-handed. Astonished at this bizarre information, one of the guys shot back, "But what if it's pointed straight up in the air?" She said, "Then I'm fifteen minutes late."

  14. Something to do with a yellow submarine. Will be good if it catches on round the whole stadium
  15. Good interview with Alan P Being very pragmatic about where we are at present. What I really liked was that he came across as calm and collected. Knows we have a fair bit of work to do. Its clear he wants to keep rasiak, His comment re the grass is not always greener on the other side is very true and I sincerely hope that Raisiak does see sense and stays.
  16. And it is doing this to three other people I know Make that four, I thought it was the lousy weather up here in the north of scotland
  17. Its good to see he has started training again, I was reallly impressed with him as a player, was soory whren he sustaines his archillies injury. far better than dyer in my opinion and will be an exciting addition to the team once fully fit and maintains his potential. The futures bright the futures red and white
  18. I couldnt get to the game yesterday, As I was in Glasgow. Watched the game in the Europa by George Square. A good game to watch even if the last 15 minutes became a bit nervy. I thought I would be the only one there watching it especially a I had to ask the landlord to put the game on for me. However it wasnt long before most of the sky tv's were showing the game as several other people came in and watched the game as well.
  19. Skacel has ot a new club. a new King Cobra 5 iron
  20. Would this signing be known as the return of the Jaidi next it will be the klingdons or whatever duck face called thm
  21. I can see where lordwood is comming from and Ii came as as another dig at the club. When I first read it I really thought it was yet another dig at the club and the new owners. ML wasnt another false dawn but the real deal. The club was in dire straights at all levels and it will take some time to turn it around but turn it around Pardew and co will achieve. Back to Lordswood's post You can look at the issue re season tickets in two ways. Do the club need to encourage unrenewed season ticket holders to reconsider. I don't think so, given the significant numbers that have so far taken out season tickets. If we were having trouble sellng them I can see the benefits of writing to season ticket holders who havent renewed. But at this stage it looks like we are going to have better attendances than last year and providing we get rid of the deficit very quickly and cimb the table then I can see a good increase on those buying tickets on the day. Lordwood thanks for the offer of a bag of sweets. My Late mum always told me not to take sweeets from strangers!! No doubt they would have been soor plums!! but Im more than happy to share a pint or two with you.
  22. FFS Is there no end to the endless moaning . We have entered a new and bright era for the club and here we have yet another thread sniping at the club for the most pettiest of reasons. Oh this is a dig at all the negative threads that appear to be ppping up and not specifically at you lordswood Typical of so many in this country expecting to get there arses wiped all the time. Why don't some fans including yourself lordswood and find out if they can accomodate you. Take the initiative mate instead of sniping. Unfortunately I can not now make this saturday but I have got a season ticket. I will not ge to many games but supporting my club is important to me. We will be okay we willhave ups and downs and after all no thanks to the Pinnacle group. Alan pardew has only been in residence a few days. Im totally behind him and we are about to see the Birth of Brilliance again at St Mary's just give it a bit more time instead of whinging all the time. COYRs
  23. Wayne Thomas is out of the QPR game with a back injury Give him a job with the Council - they will pay him six months full and six months half sick pay for people with bad backs. Someone who is meant to be an athlete shouldnt have a bad back, perhaps the real cause is that he has spent most of the time he has spent with us slouched on a sofa playing with his xbow or nintendo!!
  24. Wow I agree with Alpine "for one couldnt give a sh*t that he completely owns the club; I feel that I and my fellow fans are no more powerless to effect change at SMS" As a shareholder or is that now former shareholder. what gets my goat is the fact I have not been officially informed about what has happened re the shares I own/owned. I thought Mark and co would have written t all shareholders telling us we can now rip up our share holding cetificates I for one am very grateful that ML has purchased our clubs unlike te glasiers, ambramovich's who see chelsea, Man city and co as their train sets, ML hasn't. He has purchased saints for all the right reasons and dosent need to fork out millions on money grabbing mecenary footballers like tevez. ML and AP is going to do it the honest way, something many of my fellow saints fans have seen for several decades. PS anybody see the Newk result , they lost 6 -1 to leyton orient and were playing almost their best eleven.
  25. Lordswood . is the reason you want him living in the area more to the fact you wish to stalk him and go through his dustbins etc? Does it really matter where he llives as long as he get the results and the side playing well You will be demanding ML moves into Southampton next
