  1. My Dad's a jounalist rather than just a fan but you're right, he'd probably say that to a journo too!
  2. Please let's not turn this into another thread about Alpine Saint. It's really very boring and just blows more smoke up his arse. Thanks.
  3. Yeah, but most are Championship standard rather than Premiership really so is the lure of that league so strong? I'm sure players like Lallana and Morgan realise that any move to the Premiership would result in a season of bench warming. If we go up as Champions next season then we will build a team strong enough to take on the best the Championship has to offer so unless they're very impatient Saints are still a strong option for them. They won't really improve their salaries by moving so that temptations not really there either.
  4. My Dad spoke to Rickie at the training ground yesterday and he told him he wouldn't be going anywhere in the summer whatever happens. He's very happy down here, loves the area and has had the best season of his career to date with Saints. He also spoke of the frustration of the players in so much as they feel another season in League one will be a wasted one as they feel they they could challenge hard for honours in the Championship. Despite this he said the attitude and general feeling in the club is hugely positive and everyone loves playing for Southampton so the top players should remain for next season. Probably not Earth shattering information but good to hear it straight from the horses mouth, so to speak.
  5. Maybe the pit lane thing was a bit silly but Vettel didn't help the situation by squeezing him in there. If Vettel had moved to his left it would have meant it was safe for Hamilton to drop back in behind him but as it was Lewis risked suspension damage to him and the Red Bull if he'd braked to move back in. Vettel had a whole pit lane empty to his left so why force Lewis into the pit boxes? 50/50 in my eyes and a slap on the wrist for both was the right call. As far as the 'weaving incident' is concered all I'll say is 'mountain' and 'molehill'.
  6. ... he deserves a pat on the back for this one! http://en.espnf1.com/china/motorsport/story/15013.html I couldn't agree more with what he says.
  7. What a Twenty20 team that would give us!
  8. Another fantastic race this morning. Loads of incident, loads of overtaking and loads of drama. I hope Lewis is not punished for the pit lane incident. I think Eddie Jordan was spot on (for a change!) in calling it a racing incident and I think they should just leave it be. Not sure how Alonso and Massas relationship will be after Fernandos cheeky pit lane entrance overtake though! Well done Jenson and Lewis, great stuff. Special mention to Petrov as well. A great race for the Renault rookie and loved seeing him cruise past Schumacher with such ease. All in all it's looking to be a great season ahead...
  9. Maybe because he was sighted stooping over the front of Buemis car with a hacksaw last night...
  10. No worries, the offer's there.
  11. I'll give you £100 for it.
  12. I love the way he tries to steer away from the tyre wall even though he has no wheels to steer!
  13. That's not good. That could have serious repercussions for STR and F1 in general.
  14. I've done that one once on the way to NZ and yes it was a bit bumpy!
  15. Correct! I went there a few years back for a nose around as I was visiting a client right next to it. Quite sad to see a ground looking like that.
  16. Nope.
  17. Nope
  18. Nope
  19. Nope, not OT either.
  20. Pride Park
  21. Amen to that.
