Who would you like to win the Play-Offs? (League 1)
Son of Bob replied to Nexstar's topic in The Saints
Bournemouth would be great but Huddersfield are definitely most deserving. Difficult one to call. I think I'll go for Huddersfield as Bournemouth acted like total tossers over our 'non-existent rivalry' this season. -
Yes mate but can have a '+1'? Pretty please?

You think everyone will be gone by then?!?!

Mate coming over at 11.30am. Lift into town with the Missus for 12. Meet more people at the Alex for multiple beers. Meet the old man next to Ted at 2.50 and head into the ground. Cheer and shout for 90 mins and no doubt get emotional! Enjoy lap of honour and any other post-match celebration. Back to the Bedford Place for a further drinks. On to a promotion party/BBQ being held by one of our illustrious posters! Then.... who knows? Home and very drunk I expect!

What's your very first memory of a Saints game?
Son of Bob replied to sussexsaint's topic in The Saints
'76 Final on TV for me. I have hazy memories at best though as I was only 3 and a half! 1st memory of a live game was against Spurs at the Dell in 1980. -
The much Maligned Rickie Lambert this season
Son of Bob replied to doddisalegend's topic in The Saints
I don't think many people would suggest he's had a poor season. Just not as good a one as he could have had. As he himself has admitted, he has not had a good season by his own standards (his words, not mine) -
The much Maligned Rickie Lambert this season
Son of Bob replied to doddisalegend's topic in The Saints
I'm not saying he won't play the same role. I'm just suggesting that a confident, fully fit Rickie Lambert will be better than what we've seen this season. I think it's a shame it wasn't made more public that he was carrying a knee injury for half the season and then people wouldn't have got on his back so much. Maybe Cortese/Adkins didn't want opposing teams knowing there was a potential weakness. -
The much Maligned Rickie Lambert this season
Son of Bob replied to doddisalegend's topic in The Saints
It was my Dad who interviewed him for the program and he said Rickie has been enormously frustrated by this season. He couldn't carry out full training over the first 6 months and his general fitness took a massive hammering. I expect to see him back to his deadly best again for our push in the Championship next season! (Providing we're there of course) -
A special mention to Jaidi though as 'most improved'. I'm not sure where that came from but he's had a very solid season, especially towards the end.

I think Fonte and Lallana are good enough for the Premier League and I hope to see them playing for us there some day soon! Fonte shades it for me though.

If you're not taking the p1$$ Deppo I'll assume you weren't there!

I love this one. Reminds me of the late 70's one without being too retro.

I was doing my annual clear-out of the shed prior to summer and as with every other year, I looked at my cobweb covered Dell seat in the corner and wondered if I'd actually get round to doing something with it over the summer. What have other people done with theirs? I suspect there are many sat gathering dust in sheds like mine but has anyone actually done anything imaginative with theirs?

Looked pretty bad from where I was sat. I doubt we'll see him again this season. A massive blow. On the positive side I thought Connolly looked fit and up for it. It could be his time to shine!

I went through HSBC to lease a car when I went onto a car allowance back in 2002. My credit history was poor at the time and there was no problem with getting the car I wanted.

They do. It's in the bit where they go on the 'ride' that explains how they created the dinasours .... funnily enough. They used DNA extracted from genes found in the blood of Mosquitos trapped in amber. Maybe you fell asleep at this point?

I'd like a white shirt with a red sash and some black detailing, black shorts and white socks with red and black detailing.
-
Like this perhaps?

In recent years my favourite games have been the 3-2 against Arsenal (when Niemi pulled off that amazing triple save!), the 4-0 against Spurs (we were so comfortable that day) and for pure emotion, the 'relegation avoider' against Sheffield United.

Which is why a DC02 is the perfect compromise!

Defender - Fonte Midfield - Lallana Striker - Barnard Overall Lallana shades it for me. He's the only player that really deflates me if he's not in the starting line up.

Not a Harley fan but that is VERY nice!

Well said that man. Without belief we certainly won't get it!
