  1. Have to say i had a great day out alos, apart from the 3 ladies behind me who kept poking me in the back asking me to sit down. Including one during a rendition of "Stand up if you love the saints"! I understand i may heve been obscuring your view, but stand up, sing along and you can see it all AND add the the atmosphere. Still, was great day, best bit in the pub in baker st after, lots of singing, until the stopped serving....boooooo. All in all was fantastic day, ranks up there with the best (not too many ) Much love to all saints, AP, NC and of course Markus, you know not what you have done and how much it means!!
  2. Maybe my position in the stadium, but i'm pretty sure everyone around me gave him a cheer
  3. Me also Not sure where in south u are, but the Victoria line is down this weekend i believe, as is a stretch of the metropoliton, although not the bit from baker st up. Just so ppl know
  4. Lol, its not me who doesn't understand my fishy friend Fair enough, Man U was never a great example. The point is, you have to pay your bills. I take your point its about having a rich owner. If Markus (my hero ) decided to walk and we had been left with the **** that you have, then i would take it on the chin. However, in the meantime i'm sure we would have tried all we could to have staved of admin - which you have evidently not done. A rich owner is one thing, 4 supposedly rich owners with no intent to invest anything is another. Pompey has been done up like a kipper. In the long run i'm sure we will become self sustainable as a business, we just need a little kick start. My main point was trying to point out that just take it on the chin (no offence to our own Chin!) and deal with it - Pompey (as a club/business) has fallen foul of the law, with LAW being the operative word. Deal with it and dont bleat how you have been dealt a harsh deal, and certainly dont bleat on about a level playing field, because you boys have been taking the **** for quite a while now. Its a simple fact for me, and again, you as a fan should hang your head in shame for trying to argue. Its actually embarassing. Grant is a fool for his latest comments, and i'm sure the reactions on BBC/Sky will show how few ppl feel sympathy for your once proud club. Now, where did you put that rake........
  5. Using Ho's logic, Man U are cheating as the can pay higher wages then most other premier league clubs....... I'm surprised no-one has picked on this blatant cheat, paying massive wages they cant afford.....wait, no.....1 sec......they can afford them, its Pompey im thinking of! If they get out of this relatively easy (ie, small points deduction with no debt left) i think i will lose the will to watch football, (certainly PL football) However, i don't think they will
  6. Great stuff, pretty amazing.
  7. in the current financial climate, an announcement like this could create quite a buzz. I however find it shocking, it is a very -ve move. I wonder if clubs will be able to charge more for ohm tickets, or will they keep the prices static? Ahem....
  8. i knew he reminded me of something.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1CTadlvmYig
  9. I think the second one may be the singer David Gray!
  10. Use Safari on XP, i like the interface alot - does lack quite a few firefox features though which is a shame.
  11. haha that much is evident i think.
  12. Hello, hello. What's going on, what's all this shouting, we'll have no trouble here This is a local club for local people, there's nothing for you here.
  13. You can assume all you want sir - and you are obviously big on assumptions based on your op. Its not baiting - it is a response - baiting is when you try and antagonize people into responding to a comment knowing full well that it will provoke an angry response based on you comments. I did not do this, i responded to your comment. I did not call you that either, i said i agreed with the words of another poster who could obviously articulate his views much better than me - while i agree with him in his opinion, i did not specifically call you either of those terms - childish - yes, a c u nt - no, but that doesn't mean i dont agree with that posters view - Also, this type of language is about as adult as your original post. Sometimes you have to lower yourself to the same level in order to get a point across. Semantics i know, but still valid points i think.
  14. I dont think i have ever known a grown man to act so childish, especially on a web forum - why dont you grow up, stop baiting people. I was under the impression you were a respectable businessman with valid views. You are in fact just a small minded man with big fish little pond syndrome. As for pigeon holing people because of their nationality.... ****, what year are we in - i'm just glad people with bigoted views like yours are disappearing fast. This is of course all in my opinion - shame really as i was very impressed with some of the info you have provided for us all.
  15. ahh, those are the words i was looking for +1
  16. This comment was particularly amusing "3 azap, hants 01/03/2010 20:01:46 Can anyone confirm if the PST is on the board yet?? What im thinking is we as fan's would then have access to supplying a revenue stream to pay HMRC,and in return arrange for the issue of shares in Pfc/PST, or the money credited to each individual for future fixtures in 2010/2011. If it is £7.5million owed that is 50,000 X £150 each ..simplez??!!" 50,000 ......hahahaha £7.5million.....hahahaha
  17. Make that another one here (am bang on Oxford Circus/Regent St). Saints everywhere in the Smoke! And me - on Gt Marlborough St (1 behind oxford street) - W1 Saints!
  18. Not sure if this has been touched upon - anyone know if this is normal procedure for football clubs? "Interest from a South African-based consortium cooled when they discovered that the club's merchandising revenue has already been licensed to a third party for three years, cutting off a crucial source of revenue. It is understood to be one of many examples of future income being sold to meet current debts." http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/leagues/premierleague/portsmouth/7309718/Portsmouth-owner-Balram-Chainrai-first-in-line-for-17m-repayment-as-secured-creditor.html
  19. What he said ...imo
  20. How much £ would you need for all 3 ?
  21. Its been mentioned a few times on here that HMRC may not want to put them into liquidation as the may not then get anything at all (i think originally said by Peter Story) so therefore may accept a down payment of 1.8million, with the rest to follow. Is there any way HMRC can say, 'we will take the 1.8million as now as you have it available', and then still wind them up because they have failed to pay the correct amount? ie, get what they can before finishing them off - or would that 1.8million need to go back into the pot to equally pay off all creditors Apologies in advance for my lack of understanding of this highly complicated and convoluted system!
  22. Yes, very true - you sir, are a prize buffoon NC, and your response is not necessary - your bourgeois attitude only confirms what i already thought about you.
  23. "Folk Devils and Moral Panics", a study/book by Stanley Cohen looks into this, and its pretty interesting (well, relatively interesting at least) and a little bit disconcerting to realise how much of our normal day to day lives can be affected by the government / media.
  24. Am i right in saying the embargo on BUYING players is still in place? If so, i'm not suprised they are saying its still a loan, or surely that would mean they have breached the terms of the embargo, and would be liable to a fine or points deduction (either is fine by me:D) as well as having to find the money for the transfer
