Do we actually practice corners?
It’s either:
Easy for keeper/defender
Misses everyone or fails to clear first man
Gifts opposition a break and a goal or chance.
So bad that I haven’t even looked at any of the other scores. Pointless, just like Saints.
Furious we have given a club in crisis a much needed leg up at our own expense.
Replay of their 1st starts with Tadic airmailing a cross and us getting lucky corner. Tadic raises his arms in frustration at the forwards, forwards turn and give Tadic ****. Something very wrong with this team, the players hate each other.
Just seen a replay of their 3rd. 6 Saints players cantering back. We are not fit, that is a total disgrace. It’s one thing not being good enough but being unfit is unforgivable.
The way Wigan overran us first half it was ****ing obvious 4-4-2 would be suicide in the Prem. Many on here said it. The problem wasn’t the formation but the players (managers instructions?) unwillingness to support the lone striker with pacy runs.
After Newcastle I told myself, “they can’t play any worse than that”. Boy I was wrong. The players we have don’t have the guts for this. They all know they’ll be back in the Prem with other teams anyway.
Our players must be really thick. What part of “keep it simple, keep it tight, hold ‘em off for the first 20 minutes, don’t let the crowd get into it” do they not understand?
I’m gutted. Was nervous but confident Hughes would turn this around. It’s basically the same as that first half vs Wigan but with Prem strikers. Hopefully we can mount a comeback but it’s the hope that kills you.
These players are so utterly disfunctional. Who is the leader on the pitch?
