Yes, gaining interest in PL and Europa. Don't want this to become a Saints d1ck measuring contest. Not lost interest in Saints since I started supporting them in 1980 (lived near Andover at the time). We get all the live games in Canada but the analysis is pretty decent on NBC and TSN so they don't sicken us with the fawning over Klopp etc. I used to just tune in for Saints and then tune out again, but I am now watching some of the other games to see how we stack up against the other teams.

I think Claude using Austin sparingly is a master stroke. He's not got the overall fitness (yet) to play the way we play all game, but when he comes on or starts he is playing like he has a point to prove. I can see Austin knuckling down and working on his endurance so that he will become more than a one-dimensional striker.

Haven't read everything on here so I wonder if (m)any felt the same as me during the game. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was very entertaining and some of our movement and quick link up plays were superb. I know that it's points we want and that in the past a very entertaining Clough forest team finished bottom but I didn't feel much frustration at all at the misses. I just knew we'd bag one sooner or later. I actually like our style, think Redmond will become a very good player and like the thoughtful way Puel rotates and sets up the team. Enjoying this season and excited for the future.

Redmond just needs to trust his cerebellum and stop forcing the motor cortex to take over.

Our passing and moving at times was sublime. We tore them apart and were only let down by some poor finishing. Great tactics and a master stroke to bring on Austin and Hoj at the correct moment. Well done Claude!

Apart from that miss, Redmond has played well. I think that on the whole we are playing really well, the movement and passing have been excellent at times. Just need to put the ball in the net. I can remember both Poch and Koeman's teams not moving it this well and being more hesitant around the box. We just had better finishing in those eras. Oh and to the ambition experts of the forum, should we be showing Stoke and West Ham like ambition or Watford and Boro like ammbition. I'm confused.
