Maybe his post had implications the sites owners didn't want to expose themselves to?
-
I with you on this, although i'd really love Matt Le Tiss to be chairman more than anything else.

By 3.0 on the opening saturday it'll be -7.

Wise words Running Man. We've both seen how posting on here is a poisoned chalice for club officials. I advised TL to have a few days away from here about a week ago and it'd be wise if he closed his account and in future just used the OS (all going well!). On the issue of the Echo Lowe was at war with them for a while and it's in no-ones interest for wounds to be re-opened. If pinnacle do the deal the Echo will soon change their tune if they are given a few exclusivs - the grubby little rag is short of sales so they won't look a gift horse in the face! Be smart Tony and Michael, you can have our grubby little rag eating out the palm of your hand if you play your cards right.

The bungling Echo are now running with the story. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/4462854.Saints_take_over_could_be_complete_in_days/

Immigrant families, be they hindus, jews, muslims etc, tend to keep their business interests "in house". It makes perfect sense because these families are generally very structured and honour is paramount. By making Michael Fialka the owner under normal circumstances would be risky, but family bonds in jewish circles are strong enough to mean there's no risk - it's how they've been brought up. It may be a relative seeing potential in Michael and giving him a break, it may be a purchase that's good for tax purposes - i don't know, but what i do know is that Pinnacle have passed due dilligence and proved they have the funds to complete.
-
That sounds about right.
-
I still reckon pinnacle will do the deal.
-
Fialka may not be the "money man", simply a relative etc of the "money man". As i understand it the club will be in his name though - so it will be one owner. For this reason my hunch is that the "money man" is a relative of his.

A word of advice. It's best to bid on ebay with 2 seconds to go. A bit like buying a football club really.....
-
As much as i'd love that grotty little rag brought to account, my advice to Pinnacle would be to let it go and just concentrate on SFC.
-
I'm at the end of my tether but i'm prepared to trust MLT. After the past few days i've had enough.
-
I agree.
-
Discredited by the sloppy journalism of the Echo and a few *****s on a fans messageboard. Until the facts are known they should not be discounted. Do any of us know that Fialka doesn't have a rich backer?
-
Agreed.
-
Nah, i doubt it. They are just taking a punt on being right and joining the popularist witchunt.
-
Where in that sloppy piece of journalism does he threaten walk away? It's lughable how the Echo have taken this stance with MF whilst regularly backing Marc Jackson.
-
Firstly a big lol at you using Saintlee's log in. After the way you and Marc Jackson made a complete fool of him last summer i'm surprised he wants anything to do with you. 1) You endorse GM's sentiments. With respect an endorsement from someone with your track record is hardly glowing. 2) Pinnacle have paid no cash. How do you know this David? Did Marc Jackson tell you this? Until this is confirmed by someone with some credibility (I have asked the question) then you'd be the last one i'd believe. 3) I have heard that it's more than the -10 points that is the issue. I'm no takeover high flyer like you David, but i do have a mystery contact that would know slightly more than you. 4) If Pinnacle lost their money 3 weeks ago how did they proved funds and pass due dilligence? 5) I'll never be as deluded as you David, but i'm not discounting that the terms of the FL could increase our punishment. 6) So there we have Marc Jacksons excuse for once agian failing to deliver. Talking of front men what happened to barry the Briefcase? 7) Another excuse for Marc Jackson. 8 ) I can belive there is a Swiss bid, but the middle eastern one involves Jacko we all know that'll never happen.
-
It's also very cheesy.
-
Balance is what is needed, hence the question i posed. As i've said GM may well be completely right.
-
RIP.
-
I've not hidden it and requested the name change on a thread in General chat. Anyone can do the same (apart from Alain Perrin;)).
-
I'd go for Southampton City FC.
-
Tony Lynam is a poster and GM has directed threads against him. My thread is not in the same league of those threads and is merely asking a question of the main instigator of the Pinnacle witchhunt. GM may well be on the mark, but given his voiciferous stance it's reasonable to press him to answer the question in the op.
-
I may well have done - but after consideration i'm not going to give up on Pinnacle just yet. Until we know that MF doesn't have a wealthy backer it'd be foolish to write him off.
