I expect he's getting fed up with being hawked aroundthe Championship and puts little value on his chances of ever playing for Chelsea on a regular basis. But the difference is Southampton has a huge urban catchment area which boosts the UrbPop to over 300,000 whereas I don't think the same applies to Derby. Nottingham is about 20 miles, Sheffield 28, Stoke 30 etc etc. Yet they have a bigger fan base than either Pompey or Ourselves. Hampshire has a population of about 1.7 million,Derbyshire less than half of that. You've just gotta face facts Hampshire people just aren't interested in Football,well not when they have to pay £25 to see it they aren't.
