  1. Well that's what the OS would have you believe anyway. Saga and McG could form a right good partnership.
  2. Could you not change your user name to Legends Wear 7,except Rudi Skacel??
  3. I expect he's getting fed up with being hawked aroundthe Championship and puts little value on his chances of ever playing for Chelsea on a regular basis. So he's accepted a loan to a club who might just buy him from Chelsea and give him a permanent contract. We probably weren't able to do that(don't think a definite move has ever been on the cards) and Watford see him as a potential long term aquisition, ie wanting him more.
  4. Whoever offers the creditors the best deal will win the lottery. We owe what about 27 million net, including long term debt on a stadium which cost about 33 million in the first place. Provided you could convince Aviva that your "business plan" would procure them payment on time you can forget that part of the debt. For the rest?? Anyone offering to pay all football debts and about half of the rest would be pretty welcome. I suspect that all the warring parties have their own group of investors lined up in such an eventuality. The losers?? Small tradespeople, HMC+E,the staff who'll be laid off and Barclay's Bank but the latter won't go down without a fight. They'll want everybody who's worth more than a shilling sold to reduce their debt before the administrators do any deal with "consortiums".
  5. How much ?? A lot. Look at the bloke who "invested" in Ipswich. 45 million already down the drain, plus whatever they spent last summer.Result they're still mid-table and losing money hand over fist. If you ain't got a billion don't bother to apply. You'll end up with players richer than yourself who'll tell you to f**k off if they don't like what you have to say.
  6. These are all the rage nowadays Can't do pictures sorry.
  7. These are all the rage nowadays
  8. We should worry far more about the decent players we've let wander off for nowt to be replace by expensive crap. McDonald,Howard,Blackstock,Gary Monk.
  9. No, there are a lot of L1 players missing because of club games but he still doesn't get the nod. I wonder why. Big disappointment to me is our Romain. Wonder if he's had "attitude problems" again.
  10. Wotte seemed to be going to great lengths to explain stuff to him. Hopefully that we need some new defenders and a least 1 striker.
  11. Sort of Leaving Las Vegas??[ Don't talk to me about changing money. I changed £300 for an aquaintance last summer and now its only worth about £220.
  12. I see some old German boy topped himself today cos he'd run out of money (relatively speaking i suppose). He was in the worlds top 100 rich people last year.
  13. Except that they are lads, so Espoirs. Espoires would be girls. Les bleuets (or espoirs) is what the French call the U21/U23s
  14. 19/20th January. Is that an international weekend or something?.
  15. They might go into freefall though. If Jewell couldn't do anything with that rabble, then what chance does a pup like Clough Junior have. They'll walk all over him, well we can only hope so anyway.
  16. Greater Manchester is pretty big though.:cool:
  17. Sorry BTF, forgot you are a grandma. I have it on excellent authority(from the annual accounts) that a great percentage of our support are concessionary.
  18. Probably scared of 4200 Manchester dockers and shift workers. Will be business as usual with our population of grandmas, student wimps and schoolkids though.
  19. Yes it is. Any part of the arm not in contact with the body constitutes a penalty.Deliberate, not deliberate it's a penalty in theory. Reffed a game once, blew up for one, player said it wasn't and showed me a big muddy stain on the upper arm of his shirt, sent him off for dissent as well cos he got trappy. I was right, referees council said I was when he appealed. Don't know where this short sleeved shirt nonsense comes from really. "Referees look at two specifics - did the hand or arm go towards the ball or in a manner which would block the ball, or is the hand in a position where it would not normally be?" Elleray told BBC Sport. "The challenging decisions are if the defending player spreads their arms to make themselves bigger. "If the ball hits the arm then the referee must decide whether this action was to deliberately block the ball or whether the player has raised their arms to protect themselves - especially if the ball is hit at speed."
  20. What with them sucking in millions every day?? On the other hand there was a rumour going round Saintslist that we're to be placed in admin this week. Don't know how reliable Saintlist is nowadays though.
  21. I have a DVD, freeze framed it, the ball hit the underside of his upper arm under the armpit. Deffo peno
  22. He got them from the Lowhaters Guide to fantasy football facts.
  23. But the difference is Southampton has a huge urban catchment area which boosts the UrbPop to over 300,000 whereas I don't think the same applies to Derby. Nottingham is about 20 miles, Sheffield 28, Stoke 30 etc etc. Yet they have a bigger fan base than either Pompey or Ourselves. Hampshire has a population of about 1.7 million,Derbyshire less than half of that. You've just gotta face facts Hampshire people just aren't interested in Football, well not when they have to pay £25 to see it they aren't.
  24. Strange that. It's a smaller city with a lot of other clubs around them.
