  1. With crude at even 65 $ a barrel the saving on the US oil imports will come to 400 billion, it's the silver lining of the recession cloud which they probably engineered anyway.They get to control their major banks and give far less money to the oil producers who aren't in their good books anyway Discuss.
  2. Because he's playing as a deep striker and can't score. Nothing personal whatsoever. He's bogarting a role that he can't play and stopping someone who might be able to getting a chance. There is nothing personal in it whatsoever, he's nearly 21 and being hyped up out of proportion. If he was really as good as some seem to believe he'd have 5 or 6 goals on his counter this season already. When he scores some goals or at least makes some clear cut chances that we can score from I 'll join his fan club,Until then count me out.
  3. Hey I'm not in the Lowey Group, just don't rate Lallana very highly that's all. If some mug is offering serious swans for him, well that's a bonus with a big B as far as I'm concerned.
  4. Yep, well alright, it's a load of of speculation-as per usual with the threads where the title looks so definitive. Fine by me, dob us the swans whoever is supposed to be buying him, a shooting star, who will probably fade away into obscurity.I'd rather see Saints without him for a month or so, don't think the results will be any worse. Nothing worse than a striker who can't strike, it's like a fish without a bike.
  5. And Reuben ? where did he fit into all that then. I was in and out of the UK in 81/82,but I distinctly remember Reuben Agboola at left back in that period.Could be wrong, the old nodder could be playing tricks on me I suppose.
  6. What instead of Mick Mills ? I mean he might well have played a few games at left back, I don't particularly remember him playing there though;If you look at Nick's wiki it says he played left back in the FA Cup final in 1976, strange, I'm sure that I saw David Peach there with the number 3 shirt that day, must have been p!ssed I suppose.;)
  7. Nick Holmes at left back?? don't remember going to that game then.
  8. It depends what sort of maths you're looking at really. There are plenty of maths websites where you can always find some geek to do your homework or coursework for you. What level are we talking about: Basic High School University Post Grad (yep even some postgrad physicians and chemists have trouble with their maths when they're needed to resolve things) Tell me what you need and I'll give you an URL to help you;
  9. Or if drunk
  10. Steve Mills was probably the best left back I ever saw at SFC, Mick Mills after that.
  11. Get checked out for Vertebral Arterial Insufficiency as well; more common in young women though. Sermion or Nicergolin usually lessens the effects, don't ask me why though. Blokes(and Ladies) have gone through med school for 9 years to be able to tell you that.
  12. Sorry Ponty, clicked on the wrong post.
  13. Now you're confusing race and nationality. There are no "English",mixed decent from Angles,Saxons and Celts with a liberal dose of Norman thrown in. There are probably pure Celts in Scotland,Ireland and Wales . There are probably one or two pure race Saxon families (who keep damn quiet about it,so don't bother to Google it) left in Britain as they existed well into the 19th Century.
  14. And you don't have the worst of the nutjobs. Like Arlette Laguiller,state bank senior employee,Lutte Ouvrière, Death to all Bosses, whoever and wherever they may be.Polls about 2% in every Presidential election since 1976.And there are farther left than her to boot.
  15. Foregone conclusion, don't think Lallana not being here any more will change much, Surman is more versatile and I would have liked to see him stay. Still it's always been our modus operandii so nothing new;
  16. As I say, wouldn't work in France. I would estimate that at least 20% of police officers and gendarmes are National Front. Mind you the FN do poll around 12/18 % in most elections so it's in line with statistics;
  17. How can he be "sold" outside the transfer window? I suppose it could be agreed now and effective later.
  18. Just jobs in general or in some specific enterprise? Oh right because they belong to the BNP. Is that allowed in the UK then, sacking someone because of their political convictions. In France nobody would have a job because there's always something against all parties.
  19. There are several, one in the Docks, one down Freemantle (not Australia) way and one somewhere around Lyndhurst. Take your pick really.
  20. Because they let a lady astronaut do some maintainence work on the ISS and in a flash she firks up the grease gun and drops the tool bag,which floats away into deep space, where it will probably be recovered by some interstellar pikeys and sold back to the NASA at 3 times the price. If you want them (lady astronauts) to hang on tight to the tools,put them into a Pierre Cardin knock off besace, they'd float away themselves rather than let go of the bag.Shove a few personal photos of their first boyfriend in 6th grade in and you can bet your old boots no grease gun will explode anywhere near them.
  21. Ah no, you haven't been following. Fulthorpe was just a starter for 10, someone else has got their hooks into him now. He's probably a bit of a Mata Hari. There is no way that Fulthorpe would risk feeding him some of the stuff he's been "leaking" on this forum of late; If it ever got out he'd be crucified(Fulthorpe that is, him being a barrister and all that) No someone else has seen LS as a worthy vehicle for another (FF?) destabilisation campaign.
  22. Bath Festival circa 1971, a young lady from around Wareham with an Austin A40 and a Marmite fetish in case you're wondering.The A40 was called Flossy, buggered if I can remember the girl's name though.
  23. Long Shot ? well some get confused between Long Shot and his "source" I expect. We all know who his source probably is (although I can't remember her name, got made redundant back in the summer though) but whether source and "apprenti sorcier" are one and the same thing ,I wouldn't care to say.
  24. Got a bit confused there; meant I'm sure that we'll soon turn our Red Zone advantage into Touch Downs rather than Field Goals.
  25. No ,obviously there are home games, they're pushing the cheapo Forest game to get some swans in sharpish. I wonder why. Now if they pushed Plymouth they might get about 2000 advanced sales. Revenue 40,000£. By pushing the Forest game I'd guess they're hoping to get some "Look darling I bought us some Saints tickets for XMas" money. Say 8000 at £15 , expected revenue 120K,makes a lot of difference.What is more it's a game we might even win and get a spin off crowd boost for the next home match; It's a game that falls very well, chance of winning, cheap tickets,near Xmas, yep ,ticks all the boxes.
