Hard to say with the complete schema but are you sure that this light doesn't have 2 different on/off switches,looks like a classical va et vient(don't know the english for that) wiring system. other than that it would appear that the lights are wired in series on black wire loop. Earth wire doesn't come into it, lights are rarely earthed.

Watched the game on L'Equipe TV (well most of it anyway).The commentators were very scathing about Cardiff,said it was just as well they wouldn't get promoted because they didn't have the attributes to make any sort of decent showing in the PL anyway.Described them as a typical kick and rush lower League side.Made the point that I often make that a side is only as good as it's weakest element(s). West Ham tried to play football a bit but it didn't seem to be natural to them at all,poor control everywhere and some of the passing was pretty second rate.Perhaps BFS is right to play route 1 football because they're certainly not very good at passing and controlling the football.Better than Cardiff all the same.

Long old season for a squad that's probably not homogenous enough.West Ham have been playing quite well since they got tonked at Ipswich, OK they couldn't win at home but they certainly weren't all that bad.
