  1. If we'd had Tad available it would have been all over 3 or 4 matches ago.
  2. Wasn't this a well known internet hoax ? the other twin girl was supposed to be called Compote wasn't she?? Anyway L'Etat Civile refuses names like that more often than not.
  3. Same ref as we had at Burnley away apparently.Nothing much to report on that occasion but he's got a bit card happy of late.
  4. My, do those home-made shirts look crap now.
  5. Wouldn't that be full of Dads and 5 year olds nowadays?
  6. Bloke in the black jacket next to the lad in the blue away shirt is smiling, must be a Skate.
  7. Amazing thread, 99 posts now without having established as yet that free money and stuff cannot be anything other than a good number. let's put it this way.If you were in line for an inheritance of say 500K£ in cash and assimilables, how many of you would refuse it or take it and give it all to charity. That should sort the men from the boys.
  8. Jeez,do those punters look depressed, they should take some sick leave and hang about in the pub. Mind you a bit of a slimming cure would probably help most of them. Why are the majority of football supporters so f*cking lardy arsed ?
  9. Exactly, to quote Whispering Dave on the subject. What you doan't waant to do now is throw an Easy 2 sicky and hang about in the puubb.
  10. We may have sold Chamberlain for a fair amount of money (not £12 million though, not after VAT has been paid on the sale) but we have invested fairly heavily in new players for somewhere around half of that. The saving factor in our accounts for this last season is that youth development is exempted from all of the "fair play" rules for the foreseeable future.Everything that can be imputed to the academy and development squad can be sidelined from the total operating budget, in our case this will be a fair old amount. For this season the rules were:Acceptable deviation from financial equilibrium= £4 million, permitted owner equity injection up to £8 million. So with a £12 million, partially offset by owner equity increase of £8 million, operating loss we would still be within the football league targets for this season, with the possibility of writing off youth development factors to boot. Next season would be something completely different if we were to be marooned in the NPC again, we'd have to cut costs.
  11. The players got a salary spike for getting promoted, virtually all of them. Our losses will be pretty monumental this season I expect. All the extra TV cash (and it won't be 4/5 mill cos the basic award is just 2.4 million) will be gobbled up on extra player salaries (don't forget we have some expensive additions) and the AOC money is mostly gone. Our loss for this season will probably be somewhere around the 12 million mark.
  12. these rules start next season, 2014/15 is when they apply to maximum effect I believe.Owners can only pump in 6 million next season, then 5,then 3. Our losses will exceed 6 million this season without a doubt so next season we'd have to increase revenue or cut costs and that would mean player salaries, where we are no doubt in the red again big time.If we don't go up this season next season will see us diminished. "Owners will be allowed to invest £6m next season, £5m the year after, then £3m in the 2014-15 season."
  13. Dear oh dear, what would you do in the event of a real crisis..hide in the coalshed or something?
  14. forum rules innit. should be a new forum rule. Engage your brain before putting your fingers into gear.
  15. I assume this is by bias of extra tickets being made available to ST holders as usual??
  16. We will no doubt see on Saturday then. I expect Coventry to have well less than 1500 supporters present.Their section will be heavily infested with Saints fans who may or may not manifest themselves before full time but at 90 mins, when the stewards can't turf them out, expect to see 200/300 of our lads (and lasses) in there.
  17. Think there's going to be a recount as it's pretty close
  18. Whilst I wouldn't write off our chances in the play-offs completely I'd be very uneasy about them. Our players look tired both physically and mentally. We have a large'ish squad but few actual players of a sufficient level just now. Failure to achieve promotion directly now would be a massive blow to them all and I doubt that we'd recover from that by a week tomorrow.
  19. I'd dispute your last statement, Cech made him miss the penalty and Cech turned the ball on to the post if it's the same occasion that we're speaking of.For the penalty:Messi was going to the keeper's left because Cech had feinted to his right,Messi then saw Cech going to his left and tried to go high at the last instant,a recipe for failure.
  20. not a generous thought so ziiiiiiippppppp
  21. Cos we'll be in the crapper if we don't. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17841566 No more financing through loans, limited losses. Our owner has invested about 50 million in 3 years!!
  22. Chelsea did what was necessary to beat Barca on aggregate score........end of discussion. If you rough the Barca up a bit they don't like it up em apparently and they lose their composure. Just like us sometimes in League 1 and probably last Saturday as well.So if there's a comparison to be made it would stem from that observation.
  23. No wonder the UK economy is in double dip recession. Bloke's probably an investment banker or a politician.
  24. Players' WAGs committee ?? Helps them to know if they'll be moving or not?
  25. No I don't. I think we'll be 2 up within 15 minutes and they'll be demanding an "investigation" on the KUMB shortly afterwards.
