  1. been overused, burnt out.
  2. well there's saintsplayer but it depends if you can take Dave whining about lack of wingers,4-4-2 and the like.
  3. Sshhhh, or there'll be a witch hunt for that lost £20
  4. What has happened to Fox, was he that bad on Saturday? Still I suppose both goals came down his side.
  5. they're like secret societies apparently, inter-marriages arranged at birth and all that. The Royal Family has nothing on those snooty buggers.
  6. Chris Boardman ???? Yellow jersey 3 occasions ? drat wrong post. See above winnersaint's post.
  7. Skates should have been wound up years ago but as has been said they are the Houdinis of football fiscal dramas. They must have been one of the first clubs ever to have been threatened with being wound up over a 357£ unpaid bill (or whatever amount it was) .They got away with it and they've been at it ever since. They learned on that occasion that no matter what they do they have some sort of importance to their insignificant community and they've been taking the p*ss ever since.
  8. irony must be the most oft incorrectly used word in the English Language, if you discount definately and various misuses of there, they're and their that is. Anyway I think that I read somewhere that there are about 20 pure Saxon families left in England and roughly the same number of pure Norman families.
  9. money back from Pompey...yer avin a larf.
  10. What difference would that make?? It would be totally pointless, they won't give us +10 points in a higher League and we wouldn't get any sort of financial compensation either. Our -10,like spilt milk is just not worth crying over any more.
  11. yes they can do all that sort of thing but Lustig still won't play for them until January. I think it's different when a player is already on loan with you,you just can't go public and broadcast a forthcoming deal even if it's common knowledge. You don't own a player until you have paid his transfer fee and that cannot happen until the paperwork is approved,so you say nothing and for saying nowt about owt SFC are the reigning world champions.
  12. because SLH had no other activities. Everything was linked to SFC. CSI seems to have other sources of income.
  13. they'll get loan players in, just as they always do.Haven't they just got 2 young loanees from West Brom, probably paying less than half of their wages.Probably got some compensation from Forest for Cotterill as well. They'll get by because they always do,that's what's so firking annoying about them.
  14. think we announced Chaplow either the 31st December or 1st January.I'm sure that you can't broadcast news of a definitve transfer before it can actually take place or is at least imminent. In any other way the window would be purely administrative (which it probably is anyway). Just can't see us officially announcing this before 31 Dec or 1st Jan.
  15. don't think so because that would make a mockery of the transfer window wouldn't it. I suppose they could announce their intention to make the deal permanent, how did we do it with Chaplow last year, don't think it was officially announced until after the window re-opened.
  16. 3rd January I guess.
  17. There's no plot, in earlier "tweets" he speaks of Southampton on Wednesday. No doubt catching the train tonight, hotel somewhere and along to SMS(or wherever) tomorrow early on..
  18. Long distance swimmer, my daughter knows her, think they were at Uni together in the US.
  19. Cos they did such a fantastic job last time obviously By the by why aren't Pinnacle trying to buy Skates?
  20. And I was referring to the suggestion that Cortese should make waves at the FA. Our situation is over and done with now and we don't need to get into any issues with the FA over Pompey. They've changed(or clarified)their rules and it would seem that a parent company in admin now means an automatic points deduction. Is there not a precedent for 2 admins in a short period of time? Bournemouth perhaps, there's Luton and Leeds as well but a lot of that was for dodgy dealings as well.
  21. What difference could it possibly make to us,will only affect other relegation/mid-table teams. The only thing that affects us is whether they're still there at the end of the season or not. That will depend on whether they can pay their players or not.
  22. Well the seat wouldn't be available of course but for a non-sell out game I guess you could just hang about a bit in the concourses and then take up whatever seat was free a few minutes after the start of the game.Have to make it look like you'd been puking up in the bogs or something though otherwise the stewards would cotton on.
  23. If Pompey go into admin again that must be curtains for them then, hopefully before 18th December.
  24. Out of interest what happens to the old ticket in these cases ? Anyone know how it is rendered unusable?
  25. Well looking at their current financial situation I'd think Bristol City might well accept less unless they're in either promotion( yeah right) or relegation situations come January. They've lost 11.5 million again last season and their player salary costs (assuming that they make up all but about 3 million of the salary mass) come to about 12 million £.
