  1. has he actually managed a team before?? sounds like whatever bookies have received bets on him are making some very easy money, you don't work for them do you???
  2. Would that be the same Leonardo who was at PSG for a while? Fabulous player anyway, boosted the home gate by about 10000 every match, ah the glory days of PSG before they ran out of Canal +'s money.
  3. Miss Scarlet in the Dining Room with the Candlestick
  4. and persuading Markus not to sack AP last summer (if that's true)isn't having faith in your manager? AP was sacked for a reason, it probably had very little reference to team affairs.
  5. is being 48 considered as young nowadays then??
  6. It is impossible to answer this question without knowing exactly why AP was sacked. Without that fact all the rest is totally irrelevant.
  7. we have money and backing I guess but anyway we don't need them, we have good players, the coaching was wrong; can't harp on about that enough times it would seem:smug: really am not convinced AP got the best out of what he has, mainly because of that.Maybe NC (and Reed I suppose) saw that and asked AP to change his coaching staff a bit,he said no and the all got the boot, how's that for a scenario?
  8. I couldn't say at what time he got the call, whether it was before the match, at half time or afterwards but at some time today Morgan got told that he has to be at Clairefontaine as soon as possible to play against Malta on Tuesday 5 o clock, think he was bitterly dissappointed not to get a call up for the 2 bleuets matches but as a couple of silly sods got needless cards last night in the Ukraine he has to fill in at short notice, not good for a young player to get that sort of call on matchdays really, although I think he may see his future elsewhere anyway. Other than that just don't have anything to add about today,AP got some good results with what to me was a very poor coaching staff, Dean Wilkins in charge of players such as ours is just a joke, must have been something extrordinarily serious for NC to give them all the order of the boot with no ready made solution in hand.
  9. It was only the JPT anyway, perhaps we didn't want to progress too far eh.As long as we have a new manager by the week end and Wilkins isn't in charge of the first team by then I'm not worried at all.Wilkins is part of the problem and surely no part of the solution. Also someone needs to tell Lambert to stop sulking over whatever it is he's miffed about and start doing what he does best..scoring goals.
  10. it's only the JPT FFS, probably cost us a play off place last season.
  11. although bonk knob is a palindrome
  12. that's about tactics and the game plan, can't see that Wilkins will be any improvement on Pardew over those, still hopefully we'll have some-one in by Saturday.
  13. was that the first of the "what saints don't want to be doing" for the evening
  14. sounds like we're a bit more aggressive this half
  15. Guly yet to make an impact..arf arf, sounds highly euphemistic.
  16. does it matter?? he's already sacked him anyway.Cortese runs the club but he may well not call all the shots.
  17. still would you sack Pardew to appoint Hart?.....not me
  18. well if you calculated the amount to put on each needed to break even in any event I guess you could have a flutter without actually losing anything cos that's what the bookies do in reverse..if you catch my drift...Of course if a long shot wins it makes it easier to make a profit, odds are calculated on bets received rather than probability so you just have to work out the reverse action.I know 2 professional gamblers, they are both ex maths professors but they're more into short odds card games and very complex roulette strategy but they live well, far better than most of us who stayed close to the academic way of life.
  19. looks like a collection of random names to inspire fools to part with their money, same as the Villa list really.
  20. I don't doubt that what Cortese wants is a manager and coaching team that will enable our fabulously talented squad to beat Plymouth and Leyton Orient at home; two entirely unacceptable results to most of us, Cortese included it would seem. I expect we'll get Coppell and we'll all be dead chuffed.
  21. Wow, big news then, having spent the entire time between yesterday 8 am and just now out of contact with the real world, a few meters underground, I guess I'm the last fan to know.Thought the coaches might be in for trouble because too many players aren't progressing but AP?? well it's a bit of a surprise.
